FireFox Gold Drills Downdip Extension of East Zone, including 1.0m at 124 g/t Au at the Mustajarvi Project in Lapland, Finland
FireFox’s East Zone infill drilling confirmed high-grade mineralisation at depth without expanding the known resource scale.

FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX) has released assay results from six drill holes, 26MJ018 through 26MJ023, at its 100%-owned Mustajärvi Gold Project in Lapland, Finland. The company’s CEO, Carl Löfberg, described the findings as a downdip continuation of strong East Zone mineralization, which supports the development of a maiden resource estimate.
The strongest results came from hole 26MJ021, which returned 2.0m at 63.19 g/t Au from 102.4m. This interval includes 1.0m at 124.0 g/t Au and 0.38% Co. The same hole also intersected 4.0m at 1.64 g/t Au from 77.65m and 1.0m at 3.97 g/t Au from 94.3m. Hole 26MJ022 provided the second-highlight result, returning 6.0m at 4.38 g/t Au from 128.0m, including 1.0m at 23.5 g/t Au, plus 1.95m at 1.54 g/t Au from 79.25m.
The remaining four holes returned weaker results. Hole 26MJ018 returned several narrow low-grade intervals between 0.50–0.59 g/t Au. Hole 26MJ019 had no significant result, with its best being 1.0m at 0.26 g/t Au. Hole 26MJ020 returned scattered intervals with the highest grade at 0.66 g/t Au. Hole 26MJ023 returned 1.0m at 0.52 g/t Au and 1.75m at 0.82 g/t Au.
The cutoff grade for reporting is 0.3 g/t Au. Intervals are reported as core width, and true width has not yet been estimated. Total project drilling is now 28,721m.
FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX) has completed resource-definition and infill drilling in its known East Zone, rather than announcing a new discovery or significant footprint expansion. For a pre-resource explorer with a market capitalization of approximately $25 million CAD, the results confirm the presence of high-grade mineralization downdip in the central East Zone, supporting the company’s maiden resource estimate.
The latest release does not materially alter the perceived scale or probability of success. The best interval identified is narrow and controlled by a single sample, while the broader interval consists mostly of low-grade halo. Four of the six drilled holes returned weak to insignificant results. No new zones were opened, no large step-outs were demonstrated, and no new resource estimate was delivered.
In terms of price context, FireFox Gold’s stock rose from approximately $0.39–$0.45 in late 2025 to $0.87 in early March 2026 following high-grade releases, before giving back most of those gains to sit near $0.50. Consequently, this release is best classified as an in-line, positive confirmation rather than a market-moving discovery or a transformational result.
FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX) is a Vancouver-based junior gold explorer active in Finland's Central Lapland Greenstone Belt. Its flagship asset is the 100%-owned Mustajárvi Project, which is advancing toward a maiden mineral resource estimate. The company also holds other assets, including Sarvi, Jeesio, Nunara, Naula, Manto, and the Agnico-optioned Kolho property. No mineral resources or reserves are currently reported.
The company’s capital structure consists of approximately 49.9 million shares outstanding, with warrants covering roughly 29.4 million shares and options for about 3.3 million shares, resulting in a fully diluted share count of approximately 82.6 million. Prior-period financials indicate no revenue, a Q1 2026 net loss of $2.14 million, and cash of about $1.97 million at March 31, 2026. A $7.1 million placement was announced and closed in mid-2026, increasing post-quarter liquidity, though funds remain finite for a drilling program.
