NV Gold Confirms and Expands the Awakening and Eastern DeLong Zones at Slumber Project
NV’s best-ever Slumber hole confirms and extends the Awakening oxide gold system.

NV Gold Corporation (NVX) has released initial 2026 reverse circulation assay results from its 100%-owned Slumber Gold Project in Nevada’s Humboldt County, covering the Awakening Zone and eastern DeLong Ridge areas. The company has received assays for 10 of the 17 completed holes, with seven holes still pending, including SL-43, SL-44, SL-45, SL-48A, and SL-48B. At least 15 additional holes are planned, with the program expected to continue into November or later.
The reported intervals, stated as uncut core lengths, include the following significant intercepts:
- SL-38: 47.2 m @ 0.655 g/t Au (185.9-233.2 m), including 7.6 m @ 0.828 g/t Au and 6.1 m @ 0.919 g/t Au. This result was previously reported on September 23.
- SL-39: 30.5 m @ 0.452 g/t Au (12.2-42.7 m); 21.3 m @ 0.471 g/t Au (51.8-73.2 m); 9.1 m @ 0.348 g/t Au; 3.1 m @ 0.438 g/t Au; and 9.1 m @ 0.307 g/t Au.
- SL-39A: 39.6 m @ 0.614 g/t Au (15.2-54.9 m), including 3.1 m @ 1.475 g/t Au and 3.1 m @ 0.919 g/t Au.
- SL-40: 6.1 m @ 0.258 g/t Au and 13.7 m @ 0.269 g/t Au.
- SL-41: No significant intercept reported.
- SL-42: 50.3 m @ 0.420 g/t Au (6.1-56.4 m); 41.2 m @ 0.844 g/t Au (158.5-199.6 m), including 13.7 m @ 1.201 g/t Au. This result was previously reported on September 23.
- SL-46: 38.1 m @ 0.780 g/t Au (35.1-73.2 m), including 3.1 m @ 1.714 g/t Au and 13.7 m @ 1.129 g/t Au.
- SL-46A: 19.8 m @ 0.517 g/t Au (27.4-47.2 m), including 3.1 m @ 1.094 g/t Au.
- SL-47: 54.9 m @ 0.894 g/t Au (161.5-216.4 m), including 6.1 m @ 1.986 g/t Au and 16.8 m @ 1.196 g/t Au.
- SL-47A: 65.53 m @ 1.336 g/t Au (118.87-184.4 m), including 25.91 m @ 2.518 g/t Au and 1.52 m @ 8.681 g/t Au.
- SL-48: 18.29 m @ 0.519 g/t Au and 50.29 m @ 0.451 g/t Au (83.82-134.11 m), including 4.57 m @ 0.751 g/t Au.
NV Gold stated that the grades are notably stronger than those in the Slumber Zone to the south. Oxidation has been observed to depths of +225 m, indicating heap-leach amenability. The company described the system as open in several dimensions, with a strike exceeding 2 km and widths ranging from 200 to 600 m, though it noted that true widths and thicknesses remain unknown.
NV Gold Corporation (NVX) is a junior explorer with no revenue or current resource, meaning drilling news serves as the core value driver and creates high leverage in both directions. The market’s expectation anchor remains the SL-42 "Awakening" discovery hole, reported on September 23, 2026, which returned 41.14 meters at 0.844 g/t gold (34.7 g·m). Following that announcement, the stock re-rated from approximately C$0.20 in early August to C$0.60 in mid-August, reaching C$0.94 on September 23 and C$1.34 by September 28, representing a roughly 2x move on the discovery. This price action suggests the market has embedded the expectation of repetition and extension of that initial find.
The latest results feature SL-47A, which returned 65.53 meters at 1.336 g/t gold (87.5 g·m). This intercept is approximately 2.5 times the gram-metres of the anchor hole and features higher grade at comparable width. SL-47A represents a step-out in the eastern DeLong Ridge area rather than a hole drilled beside the discovery collar. Additional confirmed wide mineralization was reported from SL-47 (49.1 m), SL-46 (29.7 m), and SL-48 (22.7 m). These results genuinely extend the system, offering a positive delta in both grade and length relative to the discovery anchor.
While the scale of a 2 km strike with a wide oxide body was flagged on September 23, this release does not open a new zone. Instead, it confirms and extends the existing one with the best hole to date, serving as a de-risking confirmation rather than a fresh discovery. With the stock having faded from C$1.35 to C$1.12, the results represent an unpriced positive that validates the discovery and could re-rate the stock back through its prior high. A 15%+ move on this release is plausible, though the confirmation of an already-established system caps the impact below that of a district-opener.
NV Gold Corporation (TSXV: NVX; OTCQB: NVGLF) is a Vancouver-based junior explorer focused on Nevada gold. The company has approximately 37 million shares issued, holds over C$1.0 million in its treasury, and carries no debt. Management insiders, including Chairman and CEO John Watson, own approximately 51.6% of the company.
The firm’s flagship asset is the Slumber Gold Project, which comprises 130 lode claims and approximately 1,500 acres of leased private ranch land. Located approximately 70 km west-northwest of Winnemucca and 35 km west of the Sleeper gold deposit, the property features volcanic-hosted epithermal oxide gold within a structural corridor of the southern Jackson Mountains. The host rocks consist of rhyolite overlying Paleozoic greenstone, with hematite breccias and silicified lithic tuffs present. In March 2023, the company announced a conceptual Exploration Target (non-43-101) of approximately 450,000 ounces on the south block.
NV Gold’s other assets include a Nevada portfolio, such as the SW Pipe priority project. The Triple T lease was terminated in 2026 as uneconomic. The company currently has no production, reserves, or economic studies.
Financing has occurred through serial private placements through 2025-2026 at rising prices of C$0.18, C$0.20, C$0.30, and C$0.40, alongside debt-to-equity settlements with the CEO. The share count grew from approximately 19.2 million in October 2025 to approximately 37 million in October 2026, nearly doubling in a year.
