Orosur raises $16 million CAD to extend its exploration runway into late 2027.

Executive Summary

Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) reported a net loss of $548,000 for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended on August 31, 2026. The company recorded $929,000 in share-based compensation and a $1,001,000 loss on the fair value of warrants. Prior to a recent capital placement, the company’s cash balance stood at $7.84 million, rising to $16.84 million post-placement. Total assets were reported at $23.8 million, with total equity at $21.5 million.

The company closed a brokered private placement announced on September 22, 2026, raising Cdn$16.0 million gross. The offering consisted of 50 million units priced at Cdn$0.32 per unit, including the full exercise of the agent's over-allotment option. Each unit includes one-half of a common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share at US$0.32 for 24 months following closing.

In exploration news, Orosur provided updates on several projects in Colombia and Argentina. At APTA in Colombia, hole MAP 107 returned 135m @ 1.91g/t Au, including 49m @ 4.06g/t Au, and ended in mineralization. At Pepas West, the company identified a flat-lying, surficial oxide gold zone approximately 100m west of Pepas. At El Cedro, the first hole, CED001, intersected 61.35m @ 0.93g/t Au from surface. Drilling was prematurely terminated at 267m due to rig issues, and CED001A will target 500m depth.

In Argentina, an NI 43-101 Technical Report was filed for the El Pantano project. The project comprises approximately 560km² of contiguous licenses. Orosur has secured 100% ownership with a 2% NSR retained by Deseado, which is 1% buyable for $1M. Additionally, the company has discontinued operations in Uruguay and Chile, which are classified as held for sale.

Material Impact

Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) closed a financing placement on October 6, 2026, following the announcement in late September 2026. The successful closing strengthens the company’s balance sheet, extending its cash runway to late 2027 and mitigating near-term liquidity concerns. This execution aligns with management's stated strategy of funding exploration through sequential equity placements while advancing projects toward permitting and feasibility.

Drill results from the Anza and El Pantano projects are incremental to the ongoing exploration program. These results validate geological models and extend known mineralization, though they do not represent a step-change in resource scale or grade that would immediately alter valuation.

Reported earnings continue to be weighed down by non-cash items, including share-based compensation and warrant revaluation losses. This is typical for pre-revenue explorers but highlights the accounting impact of equity-based compensation.

Company Overview

Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) is a pre-revenue mineral explorer focused on South American gold projects. Its flagship asset is the Anza Project in Colombia, a 100%-owned portfolio covering approximately 530km² in the Mid-Cauca gold belt. Key prospects within the Anza portfolio include Pepas, APTA, and El Cedro. The Pepas deposit is a high-grade epithermal system, while El Cedro is characterized as a gold/copper porphyry system. Orosur has declared a maiden mineral resource estimate for Pepas totaling 219,000 ounces of gold, dated February 2026.

The company also holds the El Pantano project in Argentina, a 100%-owned epithermal gold/silver system located in the Deseado Massif. The property covers approximately 560km², and an NI 43-101 technical report has been filed. Orosur retains a 2% net smelter return (NSR) on El Pantano.

Orosur is currently moving the Pepas deposit into feasibility and permitting stages. Active resource definition drilling is underway at the El Cedro and APTA prospects, while El Pantano remains in the early exploration phase.
