VIZSLA COPPER INTERSECTS 49.2 METERS GRADING 4.7% COPPER EQUIVALENT AT ITS PALMER PROJECT IN SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Vizsla reports 49 metres at 4.7% copper equivalent from Palmer Zone 1, confirming the core and extending the deposit downdip.

Vizsla Copper Corp. (VCU) has released the first assay results from its 2026 Palmer diamond drill program in Southeast Alaska, targeting the high-grade copper core of the South Wall Zone 1. The company expanded the 2026 program from 10,000 m to approximately 12,250 m, with results from 15 additional holes still pending.
Key intercepts from the release include:
- CMR26-199: 49.2 m grading 4.7% CuEq from 305.0 m to 354.2 m downhole, with raw grades of 3.05% Cu, 4.85% Zn, 21.88 g/t Ag, 0.33 g/t Au and 10.2% BaSO4.
- CMR26-199 includes: 27.0 m grading 8.4% CuEq, including 13.1 m grading 10.3% CuEq with 9.03% Cu, 1.83% Zn, 42.74 g/t Ag and 0.78 g/t Au.
- CMR26-201: 40.4 m grading 3.0% CuEq from 349.3 m to 389.7 m downhole, with 2.14% Cu, 2.43% Zn, 17.28 g/t Ag and 0.21 g/t Au.
- CMR26-201 includes: 25.6 m of 3.7% CuEq, including 12.2 m of 4.9% CuEq and a separate zinc-silver-barite-rich interval of 11.3 m at 3.3% CuEq.
True widths are not stated in this release, though an earlier visual update on 31 August estimated 39 m true thickness for the 49.2 m CMR26-199 interval.
Vizsla Copper Corp. (VCU) is a pre-revenue junior explorer and developer with a market capitalization of approximately C$130 million and multiple active projects. The company has provided confirmation and a modest extension of the known high-grade Zone 1 core at Palmer, rather than announcing a new discovery.
The visual intercept was previously disclosed on 31 August 2026, which included the 49.2 m Zone 1 interval, an estimated 39 m true thickness, and massive sulphide observations. The new assays confirm high-grade mineralization, although the best interval is lower in percentage-metres than the previously reported 2023 Zone 1 holes. The downdip hole, CMR26-201, returned 40.4 m at 3.0% CuEq, showing continuation but with lower grade than the up-dip hole.
The stock price had already moved from about C$1.31 on 24 August to C$1.45 on 2 September following Woodjam results and Palmer visual news, indicating that part of the current announcement was anticipated.
Vizsla Copper Corp. is a Vancouver-headquartered copper, gold and molybdenum exploration and development company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Its flagship asset is the Palmer copper-zinc VMS project in Southeast Alaska, acquired via the Constantine Metal Resources transaction completed in December 2025. The Palmer project hosts an indicated resource of 4.77 Mt at 1.69% Cu and 5.17% Zn, and an inferred resource of 12.0 Mt at 0.57% Cu and 3.92% Zn. The deposit also contains silver, gold and barite, with 2023 drilling returning very high-grade Zone 1 intersections.
In British Columbia, the company’s projects include Poplar, which hosts the Thira porphyry discovery and an indicated resource of 152.3 Mt at 0.32% Cu and 0.09 g/t Au. At Woodjam, recent Deerhorn drilling returned 266.0 m at 0.97% Cu including 48.5 m at 3.32% Cu.
Financial data for the fiscal year ending 30 April 2026 shows cash of C$31.87 million, total current assets of C$32.51 million, total assets of C$89.26 million, total equity of C$84.16 million and no significant reported debt. The company reported a net loss of C$11.96 million and remains pre-revenue. The MD&A includes a going concern flag, noting future capital will be required. During the period, the company raised about C$49.3 million in gross proceeds.
