Aztec Completes Consolidation of Tombstone Gold-Silver District Land Package, Arizona - Key Land Holdings Have Grown More Than Six-Fold Since 2017
Aztec completes land consolidation for its project, with a maiden resource expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Aztec Minerals Corp. has completed the final transaction in its Tombstone district land consolidation program in Cochise County, Arizona. The company’s total land position now stands at approximately 2,500 acres, marking a six-fold increase since December 2017. The final parcel acquisition involved approximately 241 acres of surface rights and approximately 414 acres of mineral rights for $241,000 plus back taxes. The entire multi-transaction consolidation program cost approximately $500,000 in aggregate cash, executed without share dilution or finder's fees.
Aztec holds an 85% interest in the Tombstone Joint Venture with Dragoon Resources LLC, which retains a 15% interest. Exploration continues with step-out drilling in the North Extension Zone reporting 88.4 m averaging 1.42 g/t Au and 14.58 g/t Ag. A maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) is targeted for Q4 2026, with metallurgical test work underway at Kappes, Cassiday & Associates.
Aztec Minerals Corp. (AZT) has completed a land consolidation milestone, securing a full 2,500-acre package through the acquisition of adjacent claims and patented lode claims throughout 2025 and early 2026. This transaction, funded entirely in cash for a total of $500,000 with zero equity dilution, de-risks surface access and unifies the exploration footprint to support the upcoming maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The company currently holds a cash balance of $3.71 million.
The deal does not introduce new geological data, financing, or strategic partnerships, serving as a follow-up to drilling and exploration updates already reflected in the stock price.
Aztec Minerals Corp. (AZT) is an exploration-stage company focused on precious metals, including gold, silver, copper, and zinc. Its flagship project is the Tombstone Gold-Silver District in Arizona, where the company holds an 85% joint venture interest in a historic district that produced approximately 32 million ounces of silver and 250,000 ounces of gold between 1878 and 1939. The company’s exploration strategy targets shallow, bulk-tonnage oxide gold-silver mineralization amenable to heap leaching, while simultaneously testing deeper carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) and skarn sulfide targets using RC and core drilling.
Aztec also owns the Cervantes Gold-Copper Property in Sonora, Mexico, on a 100% basis, where it is focusing on oxide gold zones and porphyry systems. The company is currently in a pre-revenue exploration and discovery stage, with no formal resources or reserves existing yet.
