Angkor Resources Drills Initial Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target, Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (ANK) has completed the first phase of its diamond drilling program at the Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The initial phase, conducted at the Thmei North (TN) target, totaled 1,099 meters across three holes. The company reports positive initial results, with two of the three holes encountering good porphyry and skarn mineralization, while the third hole showed continuous pyrite mineralization over 200 meters.
The TN target is a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly located within the Andong Bor license, which covers 100.28 square kilometers. Holes were drilled to the east to better intersect north-northwest striking, steeply west-dipping mineralized beds.
The initial results from Phase 1 are as follows:
- Hole 1 & 2: Encountered good porphyry and skarn mineralization over 400 meters each. Skarn portions were described as "especially well mineralized."
- Hole 3: Contained a run of over 200 meters with continuous pyrite mineralization up to 20%.
The remaining 1,700 meters of the planned 2,800-meter program is scheduled for early 2027. This timing is contingent on seasonal conditions to minimize crop damage and ensure site access, as drilling was staged around Cambodian seasons. Core logging, photography, and sampling are underway for the 1,099 meters already drilled, and selected intervals are being dispatched for assay as the program progresses.
Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., VP Exploration, reviewed and approved the technical disclosure. He stated, “Two of the three holes drilled this year encountered good porphyry and skarn mineralization over the 400 meters each was drilled. Portions of skarn were especially well mineralized. The third hole contained a run of over 200 meters with continuous pyrite mineralization up to 20%.”
