Thunder Gold Intersects 661.5 Metres of Continuous Gold Mineralization Averaging 0.554 g/t Au
Thunder reports the longest continuous gold intercept at Tower Mountain, though the wide low-grade smear is in-situ and not a step-change.

Thunder Gold Corp. (TGOL) reported diamond drill hole TM26-210 from the Bench Target at its Tower Mountain property. The hole intersected a continuous interval of 661.5 metres averaging 0.554 g/t Au, including a 24.0-metre section at 1.815 g/t Au. The hole was drilled to a total depth of 750 m.
The company highlighted that 516.0 m of the interval (averaging 0.503 g/t Au) lies inside the current 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate pit shell, while the remaining 145.5 m below the pit shell averaged 0.731 g/t Au. The hole is positioned 100 m below previous holes that ended in mineralization. Management stated the result “clearly demonstrates potential to increase resources” and that the mineralized system remains open at depth.
Thunder Gold Corp. (TGOL) released drill results from hole TM26-210, which intersected 145.5 meters of 0.731 g/t gold below the pit shell. The company states that this result confirms down-dip continuity but does not materially increase contained ounces or improve grade compared to the existing maiden resource estimate (MRE). The existing MRE already captures a large tonnage at similar grades, and the tonnage addition from this single infill hole is minimal relative to the 211 Mt inferred resource.
The stock price had declined from $0.17 in early June to $0.13 on August 10, reflecting market indifference to ongoing drilling.
Thunder Gold is an explorer with a recently published maiden resource. Drilling is aimed at converting inferred to indicated and expanding the pit shell. It is routine news flow for a junior with a billion-tonne target.
The hole is a mechanically good, if unspectacular, intercept that supports the geological model. It is not material enough to alter the investment thesis or move the stock significantly.
Thunder Gold Corp. is a Canadian junior explorer focused on the 7,625-hectare Tower Mountain property, located 40 km west of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The project hosts a large, low-grade gold system associated with the Tower Mountain Intrusive Complex, with mineralization extending along a 1.5 km strike and to depths greater than 500 m.
A January 2026 NI 43-101 resource estimate reported the following resources based on a 0.19 g/t cut-off and US$3,000/oz gold:
- Indicated resources: 34.5 Mt @ 0.46 g/t Au (514 koz)
- Inferred resources: 211.1 Mt @ 0.45 g/t Au (3,053 koz)
The property benefits from excellent infrastructure, including highway, rail, and power access, and has net-acid-consuming rock, which simplifies permitting. The company is executing a 15,000 m drill program to upgrade inferred resources and plans an updated MRE and initial scoping study by Q4 2026.
