WESCAN GOLDFIELDS INC. STAKES NEW LINDSAY LAKE GOLD PROJECT WITHIN THE EMERGING LA RONGE GOLD BELT, NEAR THE PAST-PRODUCING KOMIS GOLD MINE
Wescan Goldfields acquires a 1,852-hectare stake near the Komis Mine to expand its La Ronge portfolio.

Wescan Goldfields Inc. has staked a new 1,852-hectare gold property, the Lindsay Lake Project, within Saskatchewan's La Ronge Gold Belt. The property is located 7.1 kilometres south of the past-producing Komis Gold Mine.
Geology covers La Ronge metavolcanic rocks and a granodiorite contact, both favorable for gold-bearing vein emplacement. Access is excellent, situated 1.8 km from the Komis Mine access road and approximately 4 km from Highway 102. A recent forest fire has improved rock exposure, facilitating immediate prospecting and geological mapping.
The release also notes the payment of additional finder's fees ($12,600 cash + 57,272 warrants) related to the previously announced $0.22/unit private placement.
Wescan Goldfields Inc. (WGF) has staked the Lindsay Lake property, an incremental move to expand its land package within a proven gold belt. The addition of 1,852 hectares near a past-producing mine is strategically sound for a junior explorer, though it carries no near-term valuation impact. The property currently contains no assay results, resource estimates, or immediate drilling plans.
The transaction involves a finder's fee payment, which is a routine administrative cost tied to the company's ongoing $2.5M private placement. While the news supports long-term land banking and aligns with management's stated exploration strategy, it lacks the catalyst depth to move the stock materially and does not alter the company's financial or operational trajectory.
Wescan Goldfields Inc. (WGF) is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on a portfolio of gold properties in Saskatchewan's La Ronge Greenstone Belt. The company’s flagship Munro Lake project is located approximately 7 km northeast of SSR Mining's Seabee mine. Historical drilling in 2013 returned high-grade intercepts, including 67.1 g/t Au over 1.00 m and 7.1 g/t Au over 1.02 m. Phase 1 drilling of up to 2,000 m is planned for 2026.
The Jojay Gold Project hosts a 2010 NI 43-101 Indicated Resource of 420,000 tonnes at 3.7 g/t Au and an Inferred Resource of 630,000 tonnes at 4.3 g/t Au. The property is located approximately 6 km from the Jolu mill. Additionally, the Fork Lake (Jasper Mine) is a past-producing mine operated by Cameco in the 1990s, which produced 155,000 tons at 0.54 oz/ton Au. The deposit remains open at depth and along strike, with recent drilling confirming continued mineralization.
These properties benefit from road access, proximity to the Jolu mill, and a stable, mining-friendly regulatory environment in Saskatchewan.
