Mink Ventures Corporation Intersects 0.5745% Ni, 0.8798% Cu, 0.0756% Co Over 2.1 Meters in Massive Sulphide at Rankin Property, Timmins, Ontario
Mink’s Rankin project returned a 2.1 m sub-band, though three of four drill holes were barren, leaving the deposit’s potential unproven.

Mink Ventures Corporation has released the first assay results from its newly-optioned Rankin Ni-Cu-Co Property, located approximately 35 km northwest of Timmins. The headline intercept comes from hole R26-1, which identified the "RAK Zone" over a core length of 2.10 meters between 59.0 and 61.1 meters. This interval graded 0.5745% nickel, 0.8798% copper, 0.0756% cobalt, 0.04 ppm gold, 0.03 ppm platinum, 0.05 ppm palladium, and 3.74 ppm silver.
Within this interval, two sub-intervals were highlighted. The first, from 59.0 to 59.5 meters (0.50 meters), returned 0.9370% nickel, 0.8120% copper, and 0.1210% cobalt. The second, from 60.5 to 61.1 meters (0.60 meters), returned 0.3390% nickel, 1.310% copper, and 0.0462% cobalt.
The remaining three holes in the initial program did not return significant values. Hole R26-2, a 100-meter undercut of R26-1, was not significant. Hole R26-3, a 202-meter drill at Anomaly B, was not significant. Hole R26-4, a 231-meter retry at Anomaly A, was also not significant. In total, four holes were drilled for 654 meters, with assays effectively returned for only one of the four.
Mink Ventures described the R26-1 result as a "fortuitous" hit, noting that the hole deviated and was abandoned before reaching the intended Anomaly A target. The company stated that Anomaly A and Anomaly B, identified as high-conductivity VTEM-Maxwell Plates, remain untested and unexplained.
Intersections are reported as core lengths, and the true width is explicitly unknown. No cutoff grade was stated.
Next steps include a downhole or borehole EM survey, which requires winter ice on Rankin Lake. This will be followed by a Phase 2 Rankin program after a winter drill program of at least 500 meters at the Warren Property. The Warren targets include three VTEM plates near historical hole ML-1, which previously returned 0.84% copper over 4.3 meters.
Mink Ventures Corporation (MINK) remains a grassroots and pre-resource explorer with no NI 43-101 resource on any project. The company recently announced a 2.1 m / 0.57% Ni intercept from a new zone on a newly optioned 86-ha property at Rankin, which was optioned in July 2026. This result represents a narrow, sub-band intercept with no continuity, and both target anomalies remain untested.
The discovery does not enlarge a known system, confirm a volume, or de-risk any resource. The Bull/Bear thesis regarding scale continues to rely entirely on geophysical narrative.
Regarding market expectations, the stock round-tripped from $0.29 in February 2026 to $0.07. The prior "massive sulphide" anchor is not currently embedded in the price, so the rule regarding results being materially weaker than an embedded anchor does not apply. However, the result also fails to qualify as an unpriced positive, as it is not materially better in grade-and-width substance than previous findings, specifically showing a lower Ni%-m than the W26-13 intercept.
A 15%+ move would require a genuine scale step-change. The current release, consisting of a 2.1 m / 0.57% Ni hit accompanied by three barren holes, is too thin to alter the market’s current pricing at 52-week lows.
Mink Ventures Corporation (TSXV:MINK) is a Canadian critical-minerals explorer operating in the Timmins Nickel District of Ontario. The company’s portfolio includes the Montcalm Project, a 104 km² area adjacent to Glencore’s former Montcalm Mine, which historically produced 3.93 million tonnes grading 1.25% nickel, 0.67% copper, and 0.051% cobalt, according to the Ontario Geological Survey. In 2026, a 549-meter pilot hole encountered a diabase dyke, while a 300-meter by 80-meter deep BHIP target remains largely untested.
The Warren Project covers approximately 11 km² (1,130 hectares) and includes the A/D/North Zones. Best intercepts from this area were modest, with hole W26-13 returning 7.1 meters at 0.44% nickel, 0.28% copper, and 0.06% cobalt. Phase 2 drilling in 2026 was described as a near-miss, intersecting 0.5 meters at 0.20% copper. Additionally, the company optioned the Rankin Project, consisting of four claims totaling 86 hectares, in July 2026. This is the subject property for the company’s first-ever drill program, which comprised 654 meters across four holes.
Mink Ventures does not hold an NI 43-101 resource on any of its assets, relying instead on historical, non-compliant figures. The company has a financing-heavy history, having issued $0.10 HD and $0.13 FT units in repeated placements. As of the release, there were 41,672,296 shares outstanding, along with approximately 17.0 million warrants exercisable at $0.20 and 3.07 million options, resulting in a fully diluted share count of approximately 53.7 million.
Prior-period context from the first quarter of 2026, which was not disclosed in today’s release, showed cash on hand of $416,401 and working capital of $469,293. The company reported a net loss of $250,795 for the quarter and held no debt.
