Galantas Gold to Acquire 20,000 TPD Crushing Plant for Andacollo Gold Project, Chile
Galantas secures a $4.2 million crushing plant for its Andacollo project, targeting a mine restart in the first quarter of 2027.

Galantas Gold Corporation has entered a binding agreement to acquire a complete three-stage crushing plant and associated agglomeration equipment located in Mexico for US$4.2 million. The asset, which has a nominal throughput capacity of approximately 20,000 tonnes per day, is reported to be in good operating condition. M3 Engineering & Technology Corporation has been appointed to manage detailed engineering, disassembly, logistics, and reassembly planning for the equipment.
The acquisition serves as a key execution milestone for the restart of the company’s 100%-owned Andacollo Gold Project in Chile. Management reaffirms the target to commence gold production in Q1 2027. Current activities include site preparation, infrastructure upgrades, procurement, mine planning, and advancing environmental and permitting activities. This development follows the June 2026 closing of the Andacollo acquisition and the May 2026 US$100 million private placement.
Galantas Gold Corporation (GAL) has acquired a proven, high-capacity crushing plant, a move that materially de-risks the Andacollo restart by avoiding the lead times and cost overruns associated with constructing a new facility. The US$4.2 million cost represents a fraction of the US$100 million capital raised in May 2026, leaving ample liquidity for site preparation, mine development, and plant relocation.
The news is fully in line with previous management guidance and the established 2027 production timeline. It represents an expected, incremental step in project execution rather than a fundamental shift in strategy or financial outlook. No new financial guidance, production targets, or capital structure changes are introduced. The transaction is subject to customary conditions, including a definitive asset purchase agreement and regulatory approvals.
Galantas Gold Corporation is a mineral exploration and development company focused on Chile. Its flagship asset is the Andacollo Gold Project, a past-producing open-pit heap-leach operation located in the Coquimbo Region. The site generated approximately 1.12 million ounces of gold between 1998 and 2018, with a peak annual output of roughly 135,000 ounces of gold.
An updated mineral resource estimate released in February 2026 outlines 102.4 million tonnes at 0.45 g/t gold, comprising 1.47 million ounces in the Indicated category, and 347.9 million tonnes at 0.41 g/t gold, comprising 4.54 million ounces in the Inferred category, for a total of approximately 6.01 million ounces of gold. The project benefits from existing infrastructure, proven metallurgy, and valid environmental approvals, specifically RCA No. 151/2014.
Galantas also holds a secondary asset, the Indiana Gold-Copper Project in Chile, acquired via an option agreement. This project contains an inferred resource of 4.93 million tonnes grading 2.24 g/t gold and 1.31% copper.
