Homerun Resources Inc. Thermal Pre-Treatment with Acid Leaching Produces Plus 4N Silica Sand Supporting Bulk Sample Distribution and Advanced Materials Development

Homerun Resources Inc. (HMR) has announced successful purification testing of silica sand from its Santa Maria Eterna (SME) district in Brazil, resulting in bulk material with a purity of +99.99% SiO2. The company has subsequently shipped samples to prospective customers for product qualification and to the University of California, Davis, for advanced materials development.

Testing identified a process involving a 2-hour thermal pre-treatment followed by acid leaching as the optimal method, achieving the lowest overall impurities at 81 ppm. The use of the lowest heating duration tested suggests potential for meaningful reductions in process energy consumption, operating costs, and thermal equipment demand during future scale-up. This milestone supports the reproducibility of processing at production scale and advances a pathway for producing +4N silica while creating feedstock for advanced materials.

Mr. Carlos Henrique Lourenço Bastos, Senior Geologist, M.Sc., an Independent Qualified Person registered with the Brazilian Commission for Resources and Reserves (CBRR), provided the technical validation for these results.

Commenting on the findings, the company stated: "This sample production campaign supports the reproducibility of the processing at production scale. This outcome is significant because it demonstrates that the best result from the testing program was achieved with the lowest heating duration tested, which may translate into meaningful reductions in process energy consumption, operating cost, and thermal equipment demand in future production scale-up scenarios."

The company further noted: "This is an important operational milestone in advancing a practical and potentially lower-cost pathway for producing +4N silica, while also creating a feedstock stream for the continued development of Homerun's advanced materials."
