Wallbridge Temporarily Evacuates Fenelon Camp, Suspends Exploration Due to Quebec Forest Fire Risk

Wallbridge Mining Company Limited has temporarily evacuated its camp and suspended all drilling and exploration activities at its 100% owned Fenelon Gold project in Quebec. The suspension follows an evacuation order issued by SOPFEU (Société de protection des forêts contre le feu) and Quebec’s Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts due to increasing wildland fire danger in the region.

All site personnel were safely evacuated to Amos, Quebec, on July 1, 2026, after the company received the evacuation order late that afternoon. Wallbridge Mining Company activated its emergency response procedures immediately upon receipt of the order. The company stated it will resume activities only when authorities deem it safe.

"The health and safety of our employees and contractors is our highest priority... Immediately upon receiving the evacuation order from SOPFEU late afternoon on July 1, we activated our emergency response procedures and safely evacuated all site personnel to Amos, Quebec," said Brian Penny, CEO of Wallbridge.

Operations at the Fenelon Gold Project, located on the Detour-Fenelon Gold Trend Property, remain suspended. The resumption of exploration activities is pending determination by authorities that conditions are safe.
