Gemdale Gold Reports Strong Metallurgical Test Results at its Pontio Gold Project: Gold Recoveries of +91% and Copper Recoveries up to 87.5%
Gemdale confirms high gold recovery at Pontio Metallurgy, de-risking the 2027 resource estimate for the project.

Gemdale Gold Inc. (GEMG) announced preliminary metallurgical test results from its 100% owned Pontio Gold Project in Finland, conducted by SLR Consulting. The tests evaluated two processing routes following the completion of the Phase 2 2026 infill drilling program.
The cyanide leach route achieved 91% gold recovery with an 8-hour residence time and low cyanide consumption of 0.6 kg/t, indicating non-refractory gold. The bulk sulphide flotation route achieved up to 87.5% copper recovery into a rougher concentrate, with 70.5% of total gold reporting to the concentrate.
The Bond work index of 18.16 kWhr/t classifies the host rock as hard. Mineralogy is benign with very low sulphur, iron, and arsenic, indicating net acid generating (NAG) potential is unlikely. The back-calculated feed grade is 0.70 ppm Au and 0.071% Cu.
Next steps include a full locked cycle test within the next month and kinetic leach tests on tails. The maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) remains targeted for early 2027.
Gemdale Gold Inc. (GEMG) reported that metallurgical results confirm the Pontio mineralization is highly amenable to standard processing routes, specifically straight cyanidation and bulk flotation. These findings de-risk the processing strategy ahead of the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and support the potential for a flexible development pathway that could include copper as a by-product.
The results align with the company's historical progression from infill drilling, completed in October 2026, to metallurgical testing, and finally to resource estimation. While this represents a standard operational milestone in the exploration-to-resource lifecycle that does not introduce new geological surprises or alter the project timeline, it provides incremental validation of the deposit's economic potential.
Gemdale Gold Inc. (TSXV: GEMG, OTCQB: GDGIF) is a junior gold explorer headquartered in Finland. Its flagship asset is the 100%-owned Pontio Gold Project, located in western-central Finland, which carries no attached royalties. The project features approximately 4 km of strike length containing near-surface gold mineralization hosted in diorite and diorite porphyry dykes.
Gemdale Gold is currently in the advanced exploration stage, transitioning from drilling to resource definition. The company has completed over 10,000 meters of historical drilling and a 7,860-meter infill program in 2026. Secondary assets include the Isoneva Gold Project, which has been optioned to Jesmond Capital, as well as the Lapland projects, the Kumiseva Cu-Ni-PPG property, and the Savo/Rantasalmi site, which holds a historical inferred resource.
