Kalo Gold Extends Occurrences of Surface Gold Mineralization at Wainikoro to 4.3 Kilometres, Vatu Aurum Project, Fiji

Kalo extends the Wainikoro gold corridor to 4.3km ahead of planned drilling in January 2027.

Executive Summary

Kalo Gold Corp. (KALO) announced an exploration update on October 28, 2026, detailing the extension of surface gold mineralization at the Wainikoro target within its Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. The mineralization has been traced along a structural corridor for 4.3 kilometres.

A new grab sample, designated NAK-JT26-G-002F, returned 616 detectORE™ Units, which equates to an estimated 0.62 g/t Au. This sample was collected 1.8 km southwest of the previous southernmost result, confirming the continuity of the mineralized corridor. The company noted that detectORE™ values are semi-quantitative field-screening estimates and are not certified assays. Certified fire assays remain pending for follow-up samples.

Geophysical surveys, including gradient array IP, CSAMT, and gravity, are complete. Current activities scheduled for November and December 2026 focus on trenching, soil sampling, and geological mapping to refine drill targets. Drilling at Wainikoro is planned to commence in January 2027.

The release also noted a routine administrative stock option grant of 500,000 options to a consultant at an exercise price of $0.185 per share, vesting over 24 months.

Material Impact

Kalo Gold Corp. (KALO) announced an extension of a previously reported 4.3 km corridor, first identified in a September 24, 2026 release, through additional surface sampling. This development represents an incremental step within the company’s systematic exploration program, paving the way for a planned drill program scheduled for January 2027.

The announcement did not include any new certified assay results or resource estimates. While the company continues to rely on detectORE™ screening—a method validated historically—the geological risk profile remains materially unchanged. Additionally, the company granted stock options to consultants, a move described as minor in scale and typical for such arrangements.

Company Overview

Kalo Gold Corp. is a pre-revenue junior exploration company focused on its 100%-owned Vatu Aurum Project in Vanua Levu, Fiji. The project covers approximately 367 square kilometres and is interpreted as a district-scale, structurally controlled low-sulphidation epithermal gold system.

The company’s flagship target is Wainikoro, which has shown converging geological, geochemical, and geophysical indicators. Other targets include the Qiriyaga Complex and Namalau Trend.

The project is currently in the greenfield exploration stage. No mineral resources or reserves have been disclosed, and no economic studies, including net present value, internal rate of return, or all-in sustaining costs, have been completed.
