Kalo Gold Confirm Gold-Silver Electrum at Wainikoro, Sharpening Drill Targeting at Vatu Aurum Project, Fiji
Kalo’s Electrum discovery refines Wainikoro targeting without releasing new assay results or raising capital.

Kalo Gold Corp. identified fine-grained electrum, a naturally occurring gold-silver alloy, in drill core from hole VA26-DH19 at the Wainikoro target. The grains measure approximately 20 micrometres and are composed of 68.6 wt.% gold and 31.4 wt.% silver. This mineralization occurs directly against the margin of arsenian pyrite within a sericite-bearing matrix, validating a structurally controlled hydrothermal model involving repeated fracturing and brecciation.
The findings provide practical mineralogical criteria to refine future trench and drill targeting. Multivariate analysis highlights a gold-silver-arsenic-antimony-lead-molybdenum association, with arsenic serving as a pathfinder signature that does not directly substitute for gold assays. No new assay results are reported, though the company references a prior interval of 1.61 g/t Au over 1.50m. Next steps include prospectivity modelling, surface mapping, and magnetic interpretation to prioritize targets.
Kalo Gold Corp. (KALO) reported the discovery of electrum, a finding that provides geological validation of a gold-silver phase and supports the company’s epithermal exploration model. The discovery is consistent with previous exploration updates, including IP corridors, rock sampling, and drilling, but does not expand the known mineralized footprint or upgrade grades. No new capital was raised, and no resource estimate was updated. The finding is considered incremental and does not introduce unexpected market-moving information.
Kalo Gold Corp. is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on its 100%-owned Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. The project covers approximately 367 square kilometres across two Special Prospecting Licences. The flagship project is interpreted as a district-scale, low-sulphidation epithermal gold system. Key targets include Wainikoro, Qiriyaga Complex, and the Namalau Trend. The company is in the greenfield exploration stage with no disclosed mineral resources or reserves. Management is led by CEO Terry L. Tucker and CFO Kevin Ma.
