Abcourt Reports its Results for the Fourth Quarter and Year Ended June 30, 2026
Abcourt’s first revenues are offset by heavy ramp-up losses, tightening its cash runway despite Glencore backing.

Abcourt Mines Inc. reported financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. Full-year revenues reached $16.6 million, driven by the commencement of commercial gold sales at the Sleeping Giant mine. Costs of sales totaled $42.4 million, resulting in a gross loss and a net loss of $28.1 million, compared to a $14.4 million net loss in FY2025. Net loss per share was $(0.03) basic and diluted.
The balance sheet shows cash of $1.58 million, total assets of $52.2 million, non-current liabilities of $47.9 million, and shareholders' equity of $(13.9 million). Working capital improved to $7.5 million from $2.95 million at June 30, 2025, but declined significantly from $22.4 million at March 31, 2026.
Operationally, the company confirmed the Sleeping Giant property has entered the development phase, with production preparations beginning in August 2025. The company concluded a financing agreement with partner Glencore AG during the fiscal year.
Abcourt Mines Inc. (ABI) confirmed its first revenues in a recent release, though the company reported a substantial net loss and accelerating cash burn. The stock has traded in a tight $0.06–$0.07 range since early October 2026, suggesting the market had already priced in these development-phase losses.
The company’s cash balance stands at $1.58 million, a figure critically low relative to $47.9 million in non-current liabilities and ongoing development costs. While the recent upsizing of the Glencore facility to $40 million USD and the execution of executive lock-up agreements provide a necessary bridge, they do not erase the going concern qualification flagged in the MD&A.
Despite the cash runway risk, the stock price has stabilized rather than selling off, indicating that the financing mitigation was already anticipated by investors. The news confirms expected ramp-up losses and highlights a deteriorating grade profile, but the secured financing prevents an immediate crisis.
Abcourt Mines Inc. (ABI) is a Quebec-based gold mining company focused on the development of the Sleeping Giant mine. The Sleeping Giant property features a 950 tpd processing mill, 22 underground levels reaching 1,175 metres depth, and 1.2 million metres of historical drilling. The company also holds the Flordin property, located 138 km east of Sleeping Giant, the Abcourt-Barvue polymetallic site, and multiple other exploration assets in the Abitibi and Eeyou Istchee regions. Abcourt Mines is currently transitioning from exploration and care-and-maintenance to active underground development and early commercial production.
