Sleeping Giant Mine Activity Report
Abcourt’s ramp-up accelerates with negligible volumes versus PEA targets, extending cash runway while going concern risks persist.

Abcourt Mines Inc. (ABI) reported August 2026 operational results for its Sleeping Giant gold mine, highlighting a significant ramp-up in production and processing capabilities. Gold output reached 344 ounces, marking a 91% month-over-month increase from the 180 ounces produced in July 2026. This surge was supported by a rise in mill processing volume to 6,209 tonnes, up 31.1% from the 4,736 tonnes processed in July. The average head grade also improved to 1.94 g/t Au, compared to 1.36 g/t in the previous month, while the mill recovery rate increased to 88.9% from 86.8%.
Underground operations expanded with a workforce of 149 employees. The company is recruiting a second mill shift team to enable 24/7 operations on a 4-3 schedule by October, a move targeting the processing of up to 12,800 tonnes of ore per month. Underground development progressed across multiple sectors, including 295-DAC5, 235-Zone 20, 235-Zone 3, 355-Zone 3N, and 235-Zone 4_5.
Exploration activities included 25 holes totaling 3,064 meters. From this work, 2,427 core samples were shipped and 3,876 assay results were integrated. Management confirmed that no major short-term capital expenditures are required, prioritizing production rate increases instead. CEO Pascal Hamelin emphasized the strategy of building operational critical mass for day-and-night operations to maximize volumes.
Abcourt Mines Inc. (ABI) reported a 91% month-over-month increase in production, a figure that confirms operational acceleration and validates the transition to long-hole stoping. Despite this growth, absolute volumes of 344 ounces remain a fraction of the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) target of approximately 2,500 ounces per month.
The market has already priced in the Glencore financing and the ramp-up narrative, with the share price holding at $0.07, near its 52-week low.
