SOMA GOLD SECURES CREDIT FACILITY
Soma highlights liquidity tightness amid grade decline and margin compression through its working capital bridge.

Soma Gold Corp. has secured an unsecured revolving credit facility of up to C$2,500,000 from Hampson Equities Ltd. The transaction is classified as a related-party deal under Multilateral Instrument 61-101, as Hampson Equities is controlled by Soma Gold’s CEO and Chairman, Geoff Hampson. The board approved the facility with Hampson abstaining from the vote.
The credit line is designated for working capital purposes, specifically to bridge the timing gap between purchasing mineralized material from third-party producers in Colombia and selling the resultant gold. The terms include a fixed interest rate of 6.00% per annum, with each advance repayable six months after issuance or on five business days' written notice at the lender's discretion. The company may prepay without penalty. Exemptions from formal valuation and minority shareholder approval were relied upon, as the facility value does not exceed 25% of market capitalization.
Soma Gold Corp. (SOMA) has secured a C$2.5 million revolving credit facility, a standard working capital bridge for a junior producer scaling its ore-purchase model. The financing signals ongoing liquidity management needs, particularly to fund third-party ore purchases that tie up cash before gold sales. Given the recent $7.5 million private placement in June 2026 and a $25.8 million debt-for-equity settlement, this facility serves as a routine liquidity backstop rather than a transformative capital raise. It does not alter the company's net asset value, mine life, or operational footprint.
Soma Gold Corp. operates a portfolio of assets centered on the El Bagre Complex, a producing underground mine featuring a 450 TPD mill that serves as the primary feed source from Cordero. The company also manages the El Limon Complex, an underground mine with a 200 TPD mill that is currently in its ramp-up phase. Development continues at the Aurora Mine, where pre-production testing has been approved for 75 TPD, with a target of 30-40 TPD by the second half of 2026.
The company’s expansion strategy includes the Escondida Mine, a greenfield acquisition permitted for 50 TPD that is currently producing 10 TPD while drilling operations continue. Additionally, the Nechi Project is in the development stage with a pre-technical study submitted, aiming to deliver 250 TPD of feed to El Bagre by 2027. Soma Gold Corp. aims to grow production to 60-70 koz/yr through the formalization of artisanal miners, the implementation of ore sorting technology, and organic expansion.
