Angkor Resources Presents Its Proposed 2027 Work Program For Block Viii To The Cambodian Government At The Joint Review Committee
Angkor’s Block VIII EIA was cleared and a 2027 drilling program was presented to Cambodian regulators.

Angkor Resources Corp. (ANK) subsidiary EnerCam presented its 2026 work program results and proposed 2027 work program for Block VIII to the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Joint Review Committee (JRC). The 2027 program targets the start of exploration drilling in 2027, with the North Bokor well planned as the first drill site.
Key regulatory approvals were secured in 2026, including the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for drilling, the Health, Safety and Environment Manual, and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program. 2026 operational achievements include geology studies confirming thermogenic oil seeps and early-to-peak oil generation windows, geophysics completing seismic interpretation, and drilling engineering design for full production configuration. The company plans to execute Cambodia’s first privately financed onshore exploratory oil and gas wells.
Angkor Resources Corp. (ANK) released a routine positive update following the Ministry of Environment's final approval granted on September 30, 2026. The company presented to the JRC and confirmed its 2027 drilling timeline, aligning with previous management guidance and its stated regulatory roadmap. The update focuses on the execution of a pre-planned exploration phase, with no new market-moving information, unexpected financial terms, or surprise strategic partnerships disclosed.
Angkor Resources Corp. (ANK) is a Canadian exploration company focused on onshore oil and gas and mineral projects in Cambodia. Its flagship asset is Block VIII, a approximately 4,095 km² onshore oil and gas concession held under a 30-year Production Sharing Contract. The company aims to drill Cambodia's first privately financed onshore exploratory wells.
In addition to its energy assets, Angkor Resources holds mineral interests in the Andong Bor copper-gold porphyry, the Andong Meas copper-gold skarn/porphyry, and the CZ Gold prospect. On Block VIII, the company has completed 350 line-kilometers of 2D seismic data, identifying multiple structural traps.
