NorthWest Intersects 110.0 Metres of 1.86% CuEq, 0.64% Copper and 1.10 g/t Gold in the Western Zone at Kwanika from 378 Metres

Northwest infill drilling in the Western Zone confirms resource grades and adds only incremental new lenses.

Executive Summary

Northwest Copper Corp. (NWST) has released assay results for three additional holes from its Western Zone at Kwanika, marking the 12th, 13th, and 14th holes reported from a completed 2026 drilling program of 43 holes totaling 12,291 meters. These results represent approximately 33% of the total program. The company states the purpose of this infill drilling is to reduce spacing to approximately 50 meters to support Indicated classification for resource definition.

The geological interpretation identifies an up-dip extension of Unit 1, persistent palladium in Unit 2, a new structure above Unit 1 encountered in hole K-26-264, and a new primary porphyry zone below Unit 2 in hole K-26-346. No cutoff grade is stated for these intercepts.

Key drill intercepts include:

  • K-26-346: 110.0 m @ 0.64% Cu, 1.10 g/t Au, 3.11 g/t Ag, 0.06 g/t Pd (1.86% CuEq), estimated true width 84.3 m, from 378.0 m.
  • K-26-346 sub-intervals: 39.8 m @ 1.01% Cu, 1.37 g/t Au (2.53% CuEq, TW 30.5 m) from 414.2 m; 16.1 m @ 1.08% Cu, 3.03 g/t Au (4.37% CuEq, TW 12.3 m) from 392.5 m; 10.0 m @ 0.90% CuEq from 378.0 m; 20.0 m @ 0.87% CuEq from 458.0 m.
  • K-26-259: 115.1 m @ 0.42% Cu, 0.69 g/t Au (1.19% CuEq), TW 74.0 m, from 406.9 m; including 54.1 m @ 0.67% Cu, 0.90 g/t Au (1.66% CuEq, TW 34.8 m) and 40.0 m @ 0.89% CuEq; plus 22.0 m @ 0.54% CuEq from 554.0 m.
  • K-26-264: 30.0 m @ 0.50% Cu, 0.51 g/t Au (1.07% CuEq, TW 19.3 m) from 411.0 m; 50.9 m @ 0.38% Cu, 0.73 g/t Au (1.19% CuEq, TW 32.7 m) from 487.0 m; plus thinner lower-grade hits (10.6 m @ 0.76% CuEq; 9.0 m @ 0.85% CuEq).

The CuEq formula utilizes metal prices of $3,100/oz Au, $4.50/lb Cu, $36/oz Ag, and $1,100/oz Pd, with recoveries of 96% Au, 90% Cu, 96% Ag, and 0% Pd.

Material Impact

Northwest Copper Corp. (NWST) released results from an infill drilling program designed to define the Indicated resource category at approximately 50-meter spacing. The company clarified that these are not discovery or step-out holes, but rather resource-definition efforts intended to confirm existing grade and continuity.

The latest intercepts are being compared against previous results from the Western Zone. Hole K-26-263, reported on October 8, 2026, returned 108.7 meters at 0.70% copper, 1.69 grams per tonne gold, and 2.53% copper equivalent. Hole K-26-276 intersected 51.5 meters at 1.15% copper (2.77% copper equivalent). Hole K-26-346 returned 110.0 meters at 1.86% copper equivalent, offering a comparable width but lower grade than the October 8 anchor hole.

Northwest Copper’s stock has experienced significant volatility, peaking at approximately $0.47 in March 2026 and $0.45 in December 2025 following strong discovery results in 2025. Those earlier hits included hole K-25-280 at 3.67% copper equivalent and K-25-283 at 3.01% copper equivalent. However, the share price has since retreated to the $0.26–$0.28 range, near its 52-week low, indicating the market has not sustained the gains from the high-grade 2025 discoveries.

For infill drilling, the appropriate comparator is the existing resource grade rather than prior headline results. On that basis, K-26-346 at 1.86% copper equivalent and K-26-264 at approximately 1.1–1.2% copper equivalent are at or above the underground resource grade of 1.24–1.64% copper equivalent. Hole K-26-259, returning 1.19% copper equivalent, aligns with the Inferred grade. These results serve as confirmations of the resource model, regardless of how their lengths compare to earlier, richer headline holes.

Northwest Copper is an advanced explorer and developer with a 45 million tonne resource and a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) currently in progress. At this stage, the primary value drivers are the PEA economics and resource confidence rather than individual infill intercepts. The current release adds confidence to the Western Zone Indicated conversion and identifies two minor new lenses, but it does not materially change the resource grade, scale, net present value, reserves, or mine life.

Company Overview

Northwest Copper Corp. (TSX-V: NWST), based in British Columbia, Canada, holds over 175,000 hectares of land, all 100% owned. Its flagship asset is the Kwanika-Stardust property, encompassing more than 37,500 hectares. The Kwanika Central resource, effective February 27, 2026, includes an Indicated category of 16.22 million tonnes at 0.63% copper, 0.74 grams per tonne gold, and 1.27% copper equivalent, as well as an Inferred category of 28.97 million tonnes at 0.48% copper, 0.63 grams per tonne gold, and 1.05% copper equivalent. These resources are designated for open-pit and sub-level caving (SLC-split) methods, with an additional underground resource at Stardust.

The company also holds other assets, including the Lorraine-Top Cat property located approximately 400 kilometers northwest of Prince George, which carries a 2.25% net smelter return (NSR) with a buyback option; the East Niv property, which is in the discovery stage; and several earlier-stage porphyry properties in the Omineca region.

An updated preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for Kwanika-Stardust is currently in progress, though it has been delayed. No net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), capital expenditure, or mine life figures have been disclosed. Metallurgical testing has shown improved recovery rates, with copper at approximately 90%, gold between 94.6% and 96.3%, and silver at approximately 96.3%. X-ray transmission (XRT) ore sorting tests demonstrated a sorted grade uplift of approximately 19%.

Northwest Copper raised approximately $13.8 million in May 2026, resulting in net proceeds of $13.0 million. The company’s program is fully funded, it carries zero debt, and it currently has no revenue. Paul Olmsted serves as CEO, and Geoff Chinn, a Qualified Person, serves as VP of Exploration.
