NorthWest Intersects 31.4 Metres of 0.92% Copper and 1.08 g/t Gold (2.11% CuEq) at Kwanika in the Pit Zone from 78 Metres

Northwest’s At-grade Pit Zone infill confirms a high-grade core but adds no new scale to the deposit.

Executive Summary

Northwest Copper Corp. (NWST) reported results from three drill holes—K-26-306, K-26-309, and K-26-326—drilled on cross-section 6156340N at the northern end of the Pit Zone in Kwanika Central, BC. These holes represent numbers 9 through 11 of an approximately 40-hole, 12,000-meter program planned for 2026. The drilling aimed to extend mineralization up-dip approximately 25–50 meters toward the overburden contact and 25 meters east, while reducing drill spacing to approximately 50 meters to support the upgrading of mineral resources.

The reported intervals, listed below with core length and estimated true width, include:

  • K-26-306, from 39.0 m: 39.0 m @ 0.64% Cu, 0.35 g/t Au, 1.86 g/t Ag (1.04% CuEq); est. true width 31.9 m — Unit 11 (higher-grade Cu)
  • K-26-306, from 78.0 m: 31.4 m @ 0.92% Cu, 1.08 g/t Au, 2.62 g/t Ag, 0.03 g/t Pd (2.11% CuEq); est. true width 25.7 m — Unit 5 (higher-grade Au)
  • K-26-306, from 109.4 m: 10.6 m @ 0.61% Cu, 0.22 g/t Au (0.87% CuEq); true width 8.7 m
  • K-26-309, from 70.6 m: 2.7 m @ 0.29% Cu, 0.21 g/t Au (0.53% CuEq); true width 2.0 m
  • K-26-326, from 41.5 m: 8.5 m @ 0.37% Cu, 0.21 g/t Au (0.60% CuEq); true width 7.7 m
  • K-26-326, from 58.9 m: 64.1 m @ 0.38% Cu, 0.20 g/t Au (0.61% CuEq); true width 58.1 m, including 16.6 m @ 0.66% Cu, 0.47 g/t Au (1.20% CuEq) and 39.0 m @ 0.34% Cu, 0.13 g/t Au (0.48% CuEq)
  • K-26-326, from 158.7 m: 28.7 m @ 0.38% Cu, 0.14 g/t Au (0.55% CuEq); true width 26.0 m

Hole K-26-309 contained only one interval, which the release states indicates the eastern limit of the deposit. The company noted that the extensions are incremental and that the best grade remains within the existing Pit Zone footprint.

Material Impact

Northwest Copper Corp. (NWST) is an advanced explorer and developer with a defined 45.19 Mt Kwanika Central resource containing 534 Mlb Cu, 972 koz Au, and 2,428 koz Ag. The company is currently working on a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) and is not a producer. For a company at this stage, infill and extension holes within the existing resource footprint rarely move the equity; the primary value driver remains the outcome of the resource update and PEA.

The purpose of these drill holes is resource definition and upgrading, specifically reducing spacing to approximately 50 meters to support Indicated conversion, along with incremental extension. Against the open-pit Indicated resource benchmark of 0.55% Cu, 0.51 g/t Au, and ~0.98% CuEq, the headline interval returned 0.92% Cu and 1.08 g/t Au. Wider intervals returned 0.55–0.61% CuEq, which are at-to-above the open-pit grade.

The stock is trading at approximately $0.28, down from $0.45–0.47 in December 2025–March 2026. Previous holes K-25-273, K-25-280, and K-25-283 remain stronger than the current results.

The release included only 11 of approximately 40 reported holes, as the equity is priced on the whole program. The PEA has been flagged as slipping, having "taken longer than originally anticipated" in an October 7 release. Additionally, a hole on this section defined the eastern limit of mineralization.

Company Overview

NorthWest Copper Corp. (TSX-V: NWST) is a British Columbia-focused copper-gold explorer and developer holding a 100%-owned land package of more than 175,000 hectares. Its flagship Kwanika-Stardust property, spanning over 37,500 hectares in the Omineca region, hosts the Kwanika Central deposit and a Stardust underground resource.

The Kwanika Central deposit contains 45.19 million tonnes of combined indicated and inferred resources grading 0.63% copper and 0.63% gold, along with inferred resources grading 0.48% copper and 0.63% gold. This equates to 534 million pounds of copper, 972,000 ounces of gold, and 2,428,000 ounces of silver. The Stardust underground resource grades 1.49% copper, 1.63 grams per tonne gold, and 30.1 grams per tonne silver.

Other assets include the Lorraine-Top Cat open-pit resource and earlier-stage East Niv and Omineca copper-gold porphyry targets. The development concept involves a combined higher-grade starter open pit and top-down sub-level cave feeding a 7,000-tonne-per-day plant. Metallurgical recovery is estimated at approximately 90% for copper, 95–96% for gold, and 96% for silver, with ore sorting intended to reduce mill size and capital expenditure.

The company currently holds only inferred resources and no mineral reserves. It was financed with approximately $13.8 million raised in May 2026 and holds approximately $13.0 million in net cash.
