[Video Enhanced] Selkirk Copper Phase 2 Drill Program Returns High-Grade Intercepts At Minto North, Copper Keel, and Area 118
Selkirk released a paid recap of previously published assay results, providing no new geological data or updated resource estimates for its projects.

Selkirk Copper Mines Inc. (SCMI) paid Global Stocks News (GSN) C$1,750 for a video-enhanced re-narration of its October 15, 2026, drilling release and its September 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). The content, published on October 21, 2026, introduces no new assay results, drill holes, or study findings.
The October 15 release highlighted several drill intercepts. Minto North hole 26SCM237 returned 44.7 m at 2.12% Cu, 1.16 g/t Au, 10.7 g/t Ag (3.0% CuEq), including 11.1 m at 3.97% Cu, 2.47 g/t Au, 18.5 g/t Ag (5.83% CuEq) and 9.2 m at 4.77% Cu, 2.25 g/t Au, 26.6 g/t Ag (6.45% CuEq). Minto North hole 26SCM228 intersected 12.7 m at 2.94% Cu, 2.09 g/t Au, 15.0 g/t Ag (4.55% CuEq), while Minto North hole 26SCM239 returned 5.1 m at 3.72% Cu, 2.45 g/t Au, 17.4 g/t Ag (5.58% CuEq).
Copper Keel hole 26SCM242 intersected 12.4 m at 2.02% Cu, 0.65 g/t Au (2.41% CuEq), and 26SCM227 returned 12.0 m at 1.09% CuEq. In Area 118, hole 26SCM236 returned 8.7 m at 2.14% Cu, 1.61 g/t Au (3.38% CuEq), and 26SCM226 returned 14.9 m at 1.22% CuEq. Minto Main hole 26SCM217 returned 27.0 m at 1.79% CuEq.
As of October 14, 2026, the drilling program had completed 54,711 m across 223 holes, representing 109% of the 50,000 m plan. The September 2026 PEA outlined a 13-year mine life at 4,100 tpd, with an after-tax NPV of C$494 M at $5.00/lb Cu and C$1.023 B at $6.50/lb.
The October 21 article added a plan-view figure, an embedded Crux Investor interview, and a quote from VP Engineering Scott Fulton reiterating PEA talking points. It also noted a C$20 M pre-capex cost.
Selkirk Copper Mines Inc. (SCMI) released a sponsored video recap on October 21, reiterating assay, drilling, and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) figures that had already been published on September 22 and October 15. The company is a development-stage junior with no revenue, reporting a fiscal year 2026 net loss of C$26.0 million and an operating cash outflow of C$22.2 million. Its equity is currently priced based on the PEA and the forthcoming Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and feasibility study.
The stock peaked at C$2.10 on May 13, 2026, before round-tripping to C$1.12, representing a drawdown of approximately 47%. The price movement was significantly influenced by the PEA released on September 22, which was followed by a sharp reversal from C$1.72 on September 21 to C$1.48, then C$1.34, and a steady decline to C$1.12 by October 20. Market reaction appeared to view the PEA’s 13-year mine life and headline net present value (NPV) of C$494 million at $5.00/lb copper as underwhelming relative to prior expectations. Subsequent drill results on October 15 did not halt the decline, with the price moving from C$1.18 to C$1.12.
The October 21 release contains no new facts regarding the resource, deposit scale, grade, odds, mine plan, or net asset value. The underlying drill holes from October 15 are confirmatory in nature and were already incorporated into the market price.
Selkirk Copper Mines Inc. (TSXV: SCMI | OTCQX: SKRKF | FRA: IO20), formerly Venerable Ventures Ltd., resumed trading on November 4, 2025, following a reverse takeover. The company holds a single asset: 100% of the former Minto copper-gold-silver mine, comprising 26,850 hectares in the Minto-Carmacks copper belt of central Yukon. The site is located approximately 250 kilometers by road from Whitehorse via Highway 2 and features an on-site airstrip and a 27-kilometer all-weather access road.
Ownership of the company is structured with the Selkirk First Nation holding approximately 18% of the equity. The Fiore Group, backed by Frank Giustra, partnered to form the company, while retail and high-net-worth investors hold approximately 38%, with institutions and board/management holding the remainder. The site includes approximately C$330 million of legacy above-ground investment, including a 4,100 tons per day processing plant equipped with SAG and ball mills, flotation cells, and gravity concentrators. Additional infrastructure includes a 400-person camp, water treatment facilities, an 8.5 MW grid connection, and on-site generators.
The company’s concentrate contains approximately 38% Cu, 16 g/t Au, and 133 g/t Ag, with stated recoveries of 89% Cu, 85% Au, and 77% Ag. A Mineral Resource Estimate effective June 10, 2026, reported Measured and Indicated resources of 47.8 million tonnes at 0.89% Cu, 0.34 g/t Au, and 3.2 g/t Ag, equating to 940 million pounds of copper, 530,000 ounces of gold, and 4.97 million ounces of silver. Inferred resources totaled 16.9 million tonnes at 0.76% Cu, or 281 million pounds of copper. This resource tonnage represents a 280% increase versus 2025 figures.
A Preliminary Economic Assessment completed in September 2026 outlined a 13-year life of mine with a 4,100 tons per day throughput. The project requires an initial capital expenditure of C$186 million. At a copper price of $5.00 per pound, the project yields an after-tax net present value of C$494 million and an internal rate of return of 47.8%. At $6.50 per pound, the NPV rises to C$1.023 billion with an IRR of 78.2%. C1 cash costs are estimated at US$1.53 per pound net of by-products, with a payback period of 1.9 years.
Selkirk Copper Mines assumed site responsibility on April 1, 2026, transitioning the operation out of care and maintenance. The company proposes to ship concentrate seasonally by truck to the Port of Skagway, Alaska. A scoping study on logistics, conducted by KPFF and funded up to US$200,000, was scheduled for completion in September 2026. The company targets a final investment decision in the second half of 2027, with first concentrate production expected in the second half of 2028.
