Bravo Expands Copper-Gold Footprint in Carajas, Brazil

Bravo acquired Carajás copper-gold assets to expand its exploration pipeline.

Executive Summary

Bravo Mining Corp. has acquired a 100% interest in the Canaã Copper Project, a 6,185-hectare property located in the Carajás Mineral Province of Brazil, from Riverine Holdings LTD. The acquisition adds two historically drilled copper-gold prospects, Tapuia and Gueroba, to Bravo’s portfolio, complementing its flagship Luanga PGM+Au+Ni Project.

The company plans an initial 8,400-meter drilling program, comprising 5,300 meters at Tapuia and 3,100 meters at Gueroba, to validate historical data and define mineralization geometry. This work aims to support a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. Historical drilling by OZ Minerals between 2019 and 2024 showed strong copper-gold intercepts, including:

  • 28.45m @ 2.43% Cu and 0.78 g/t Au at Tapuia
  • 15.85m @ 1.74% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au at Gueroba

The transaction was completed for cash consideration, with no securities issued and no finder’s fees payable. This move directly executes the strategy announced in April 2026 to establish a dedicated Copper-Gold Exploration Division and evaluate acquisition opportunities in the Carajás district.

Material Impact

Bravo Mining Corp. (BRVO) announced the acquisition as a strategic follow-up to its April 2026 announcement regarding the formation of a Copper-Gold division and the intent to evaluate acquisitions in the Carajás province. The transaction represents an expected, incremental step that adds exploration optionality without diluting existing shareholders, as it was funded via cash.

Historical data provides a solid foundation for the planned 8,400m drill program, reducing early-stage exploration risk. The news aligns with management's stated goal to build a copper-gold pipeline alongside the Luanga development, reinforcing the company's multi-commodity growth thesis.

Company Overview

Bravo Mining Corp. (BRVO) is advancing the Luanga PGM+Au+Ni Project within the Carajás Mineral Province of Brazil. The asset is currently in the pre-feasibility stage, following the completion of a pre-feasibility study in September 2026 that defined a maiden Proven & Probable Mineral Reserve of 86.7 million tonnes grading 2.77 grams per tonne PdEq.

The project’s Base Case economics project a US$1.45 billion after-tax net present value at an 8% discount rate, a 35.1% internal rate of return, and a 2.0-year post-tax payback period. The mine plan targets a 9.6-year life with average annual production of approximately 394,000 ounces of 4E PGM and 9.8 kilotonnes of nickel.

To support its operations, Bravo has secured anchor tenant status in the newly created Barcarena Export Processing Zone (ZPE), a move that facilitates a vertically integrated downstream processing strategy and provides significant tax and fiscal benefits. Additionally, the company established a dedicated Copper-Gold Exploration Division in February 2026, led by veteran executive Fabio Masotti, to pursue IOCG and magmatic Ni-Cu targets.
