Awale Extends BBM Along Strike and at Depth with 47 Metres of 2.2 g/t AuEq. Outside the Resource and Intersects 44 Metres of 3.1 g/t AuEq. near Surface
Awale’s BBM step-out and best-yet pit intercepts beat the stock that round-tripped.

Awale Resources Limited (ARIC) has reported assay results from seven diamond drill holes at the BBM gold-copper deposit within its Odienné Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The assays cover gold with copper, with silver and molybdenum also reported but excluded from the AuEq calculation.
Key intercepts include:
- BBDD-33 (step-out, outside the current Mineral Resource): 47m @ 2.15 g/t AuEq from 589m downhole, including 15m @ 3.29 g/t AuEq and 3m @ 10.31 g/t AuEq. This hole is stated to extend mineralization approximately 400m below surface and approximately 200m along strike (NW) from the main high-grade shoot.
- BBDD-47 (within the open-pit Mineral Resource): 44m @ 3.11 g/t AuEq from 154m, including 22m @ 4.03 g/t AuEq (3.20 g/t Au, 0.83% Cu) and 8m @ 4.58 g/t AuEq.
- BBDD-39 (below pit): 67m @ 1.96 g/t AuEq from 479m, including 27m @ 2.65 g/t AuEq.
Other holes, specifically BBDD-34, -35, -36, and -38, returned modest intervals ranging from 0.5 to 1.6 g/t AuEq over lengths of 1 to 25m. These seven holes represent the first of 72 drilled below or within the BBM pit area. Eight deep holes targeting depths of approximately 600m vertical and 57 resource holes are pending assay.
Awalé is a pre-development explorer holding a 1.71 moz AuEq initial inferred resource (32.4 Mt at 1.33 g/t Au, 0.33% Cu), with BBM serving as the cornerstone at 1.36 moz AuEq. At this stage, a drill result can move the thesis far more than it would at a producer.
The deep high-grade continuation was flagged by the July 20, 2026 release (BBDD-30 46m @ 2.35; BBDD-31 7m @ 7.21 incl 1m @ 43.68), with 10 more holes pending, so more deep results were anticipated. What is genuinely differentiated here is BBDD-47, the best near-surface BBM intercept reported to date at above-2× the open-pit resource grade, and a successful step-out (BBDD-33) that demonstrably grows the system outside the resource, not merely infills it.
The stock round-tripped from $1.00 (mid-Aug) to $0.70 now, near the low third of its 52-week range and below its pre-July-20 level. The market is not currently paying for repetition, so a result that is materially better in grade-and-width substance than prior near-surface results is an unpriced positive. That is the case for BBDD-47 combined with the step-out.
The near-surface hit lies within the existing pit shell (a confirmation/upgrade, not net-new scale), and the step-out is a single hole whose continuity must be replicated by the pending eight deep holes. The grade/width delivered here exceeds what the current $0.70 price assumes and exceeds anything previously reported near surface at BBM.
Awalé Resources Limited (TSXV: ARIC; OTCQX: AWLRF; FSE: 2F60) is a West African gold-copper explorer focused on the Odienné Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The project spans 2,338 km² across seven permits, with 797 km² held under the Awalé-Newmont Joint Venture, in which Newmont earns toward a 75% interest while Awalé serves as operator. Awalé also controls an additional 1,542 km² of 100%-owned ground.
The company’s initial inferred mineral resource estimate totals 32.4 Mt at 1.64 g/t AuEq for 1.71 moz AuEq, comprising 1.389 moz Au and 93 kt Cu. The BBM deposit accounts for 1.356 moz, Charger for 232 koz at 4.64 g/t AuEq, and Empire for 119 koz. BBM and Empire are classified as bulk open-pit-dominant gold(-copper) deposits, while Charger is a high-grade underground breccia/vein target. The AuEq calculation in the MRE used gold at US$3,000/oz and copper at US$4.34/lb, with recoveries ranging from 63-94% for Cu and 86-94% for Au.
Prior-period financial context cited in the MD&A indicates a Q1-2026 loss of US$484,152, with cash of US$10.3M and working capital of US$8.3M at March 31, 2026. The company subsequently raised approximately C$20.7M through July-August 2026 financings at $0.85/share, reporting over C$35-36.5M in cash. Newmont JV funding received to date stands at approximately US$24.3M. Strategic shareholders include Newmont (~8.2%), Fortuna (~14.7%), and Predictive Discovery (~11.8%).
