Auriginal Intersects 45.5 m of 1.05 g/t Au and 29.4 m of 1.32 g/t Au at Roger, Extending Gold-Copper Mineralization at Depth; Updated Mineral Resource Estimate Expected Before Year-End 2026
Auriginal’s best-grade Roger hole hit 52-week lows with no ounces until 2027.

Auriginal Mining Corp. (AUME) has released assay results for four holes, comprising the final three Phase 1 drill holes (AUR-26-08, -09, -10) and the first reported Phase 2 hole (AUR-26-12). All reported intercepts are core lengths, with true widths stated as approximately 65% of the core length.
Key reported intercepts include:
- AUR-26-12: 45.5 m @ 1.05 g/t Au from 397.0 m, including 18.5 m @ 2.04 g/t, 8.0 m @ 4.37 g/t, and 2.2 m @ 12.2 g/t Au, 31.9 g/t Ag, 0.35% Cu, 0.21% Zn.
- AUR-26-12: 23.2 m @ 1.35 g/t Au from 111.0 m, including 1.5 m @ 16.3 g/t.
- AUR-26-12: 19.5 m @ 1.51 g/t Au from 207.0 m, including 2.9 m @ 7.01 g/t.
- AUR-26-12: 37.0 m @ 0.64 g/t Au from 308.0 m, including 18.0 m @ 1.04 g/t.
- AUR-26-10: 29.4 m @ 1.32 g/t Au from 402.0 m, including 1.3 m of banded massive sulphide @ 14.0 g/t Au, 44.9 g/t Ag, 1.47% Cu, and a separate 1.4 m @ 12.3 g/t.
- AUR-26-10: 24.3 m @ 1.04 g/t Au from 603.7 m, including 4.0 m @ 3.82 g/t.
- AUR-26-09: 4.1 m @ 1.22 g/t Au from 658.9 m, including 0.5 m @ 8.41 g/t Au, 106.0 g/t Ag, 0.84% Cu, marking the deepest intercept to date.
- AUR-26-08: 33.3 m @ 0.43 g/t Au from 397.5 m, including 2.5 m @ 2.47 g/t; and 7.5 m @ 0.99 g/t from 235.5 m.
The drilling program has extended the system to at least 1.4 km in strike and at least 150 m below historical drilling, with mineralization remaining open in all directions. Phase 2 is approximately 70% complete, with 5,700 m drilled of a 16-hole, 7,300 m program. Visible gold was reported for the first time at Roger in hole AUR-26-20, though assays are pending. The year-end 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) explicitly excludes all of this drilling, with the next MRE update targeted for the first half of 2027.
Auriginal Mining Corp. (AUME) is a pre-revenue, pre-current-resource explorer with a C$13.2M market capitalisation. The company holds roughly C$3.4-5.4M in cash, with the Q1-2026 statement showing C$5.38M cash while the MD&A states C$3.41M cash plus C$2.56M investments as of March 31, 2026. The company has no debt and a burn rate of roughly C$1.5-2.0M per quarter. At this stage, a hole that adds grade and depth to the known system is far more material than the same hole would be for a producer.
The company’s most significant recent anchor result was hole AUR-26-07, published 2026-09-01, which returned 125.3 m @ 0.67 g/t Au (~83.9 g.m core; ~81 m at ~65% true width), plus high-grade sub-intervals. That was the widest intercept reported. The stock closed C$0.05 on 2026-08-31, spiked to C$0.08 on 2026-09-01 (+60%), and has since faded to C$0.05 by 2026-10-14. At C$0.05 it sits one cent above its 52-week low of C$0.04 and at half its 52-week high of C$0.10.
The latest drilling results show a grade up (1.05 vs 0.67 g/t on the best interval, +57%) but length down (45.5 m vs 125.3 m). Under the method, same-or-better grade over a shorter interval is a far weaker negative than degraded grade, and interval length varies with collar position and hole orientation in a sub-vertical bulk system. Aggregate across the hole, AUR-26-12 delivers ~125 m of intervals at ~1.06 g/t — a better grade-x-width result than the anchor hole. The release genuinely steps out: a depth record at 658.9 m, a 1.4 km strike extent, and the first visible gold at the project.
The offsetting factors are real: the year-end 2026 MRE excludes all 2026 drilling, so no near-term resource recognition; the next MRE including this rock is H1 2027; two of the four holes are weak; the VMS component remains sub-metre to 4 m in true width; and no metallurgy exists.
The company has a ~535 koz AuEq historical resource at ~0.81 g/t. Even a substantial tonnage expansion at similar grade leaves a modest deposit; there is no new discovery, no new intrusive centre, and no tier-one scale established here.
Auriginal Mining Corp. (TSXV: AUME), formerly Kintavar Exploration Inc., changed its name and ticker on 2025-12-04. The company is backed by the Ore Group, with shareholders including Orecap and XXIX (Opemiska). Peter Cashin, P.Geo., serves as CEO.
The company’s flagship asset is the 100%-owned Roger Project in the Chibougamau district of Quebec. The property spans 987 hectares across 28 claims, located approximately 5 km northwest of Chibougamau and is road-accessible. A historical 2018 mineral resource estimate (MRE) reported 17,469,000 tonnes at 0.81 g/t Au, 0.94 g/t Ag, and 0.08% Cu, equating to approximately 535,000 oz AuEq in Indicated and Inferred categories. This estimate is historical; the July 2025 technical report contains no current resource. The deposit is interpreted as a porphyry-style Au-Cu system beneath a gold-rich VMS horizon, with a continuous sulphide marker horizon traced for approximately 1.5 km.
Auriginal holds a 25% non-operating interest in the Anik joint venture, adjacent to IAMGOLD's Nelligan deposit. IAMGOLD exercised its option for 75% of the 5,374.56-hectare property (96 cells). Drilling consisting of 8 holes totaling 1,600 m was completed in winter 2026, with assays pending.
The presentation lists other assets including Croteau Est (670 koz @ 1.70 g/t Au), Scott Lake/Yorbeau (2.6 Blb @ 8.24% ZnEq), Resonance (2.4 Blb @ 0.74% CuEq), Hailigan, and Cygnus Metals (Chibougamau). It is not explicit which of these Auriginal holds an interest in versus which are regional analogues, so those figures are treated as unverified. The MD&A lists a long tail of secondary properties—RAL, New Mosher, Cousineau, BJB, Cazelet, Lemoine, Garemand, Abitibi, Boisbuisson, Albert, and Henley—in hold or monitor status with no active work in 2025 or 2026.
As of March 31, 2026, Auriginal had 264.5 million shares outstanding, zero debt, and a book value of approximately C$0.02 per share. A financing in December 2025 raised approximately C$4.80M at prices between C$0.07 and C$0.115, accompanied by warrants at C$0.12 expiring in 24 months, which are currently approximately 140% out of the money.
