Awale Reports Gold Recoveries of up to 98% at Odienne on Simple, Conventional Metallurgy

Awale’s improved metallurgy at Odienne enhances the preliminary economic assessment inputs for the project.

Executive Summary

Awalé Resources Limited (ARIC) has released metallurgical testwork results for its Odienné Gold-Copper Project in Côte d'Ivoire. Gold extractions via whole-ore cyanidation ranged from 91.0% at BBM to 97.8% at Empire, exceeding the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) assumptions of 86.0%, 91.4%, and 94.1% respectively. The preferred flowsheet, which combines gravity separation, copper pre-float, and cyanidation, lifts the project’s composite recovery to 96.3%.

Copper recovery at BBM reached 92.3% into a potentially saleable concentrate, closely matching the 93% assumed in the MRE. The testwork confirms simple, conventional metallurgy with no preg-robbing or deleterious element issues. These results serve as a principal technical input for the upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), with follow-up study-level testwork recommended to advance toward a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS).

Material Impact

Awale Resources Limited (ARIC) reported metallurgical results that align with the expected progression toward a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). The company noted better-than-assumed recoveries, which directly improve the economic model by reducing tonnage requirements for a given metal output and potentially lowering operating costs per ounce.

This update serves as an incremental technical validation of Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) assumptions, strengthening the foundation for the PEA without altering the project's fundamental status or timeline. The results confirm technical feasibility and improve economic inputs without changing the risk profile or requiring immediate capital.
