Zodiac Gold Identifies New Critical Mineral and Gold Anomalies Across Liberian Northwest Licenses
Zodiac soil surveys confirm gold and critical mineral anomalies across 530 km² at its project.

Zodiac Gold Inc. has completed a soil geochemical survey covering 530 km² of its 2,316 km² license package in Liberia. The survey identified significant anomalies for gold, nickel, cobalt, chromium, and copper. These results align with national stream sediment data, placing the license area in the top 0.5% for 16 critical elements, including chromium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements.
Coincident gold and arsenic anomalies were identified in discrete east-west trending zones up to 2.5 km in length. The company plans to integrate these findings with its ongoing 14,000-meter diamond drill program at the Todi Gold Project, prioritizing follow-up infill sampling, mapping, and trenching on identified gold-arsenic and nickel-cobalt-chromium trends. CEO David Kol stated that the soil sampling confirms the high prospectivity of the district-scale land package for both gold and critical minerals.
Zodiac Gold Inc. (ZAU) released results from a 10,000-sample systematic soil geochemistry program, a direct follow-up to the company’s February 2026 announcement. The findings are consistent with expectations and serve to validate the geological model while expanding the target inventory for the ongoing drilling campaign.
The survey identified a critical mineral signature including nickel, cobalt, chromium, copper, and rare earth elements (REEs). While this adds a long-term strategic dimension, it does not immediately alter near-term cash flows, drilling plans, or resource definition timelines. The news is considered incremental and aligns with management's stated exploration strategy, containing no new financial data, financing, or resource estimates.
This soil survey represents a standard step in the target generation and refinement process, building on the company’s systematic advancement of the 16-kilometre Monterra Trend through trenching and drilling since early 2026.
Zodiac Gold Inc. is an exploration-stage company focused on the Todi Gold Project in Liberia. The company holds a 2,316 km² land package along the Todi Shear Zone, which includes the flagship 418 km² Todi property and two additional exploration licenses.
The primary exploration focus is the 16-kilometre Monterra Trend, a gold-in-soil anomaly stretching from Arthington to Youth Camp. Key targets include Arthington, Ben Ben, Lewis, Feh Feh, and Youth Camp.
The project is in the exploration phase, with active drilling, trenching, and geochemical sampling underway. A mineral resource estimate is pending for Q4 2026. The company is also evaluating iron ore and critical mineral potential across its license package.
