LAURION Advances Northeast Extension and Intersects 1.20 m at 6.58 g/t Au and 6.00 m at 0.206 g/t Au, 19.8 g/t Ag, 0.28% Cu and 0.83% Zn, Including 0.50 m at 1.795 g/t Au, 223 g/t Ag, 3.31% Cu and 8.47% Zn at A-Zone-McLeod

Laurion’s Ishkoday drill program advances A-Zone continuity amid steady capital deployment.

Executive Summary

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. has released assay results from two drill holes, LBX26-111 and LBX26-112, completed as part of its 2026 Phase 1 diamond drilling program at the 100%-owned Ishkoday Project.

Hole LBX26-112 intersected 1.20 m at 6.58 g/t Au and a polymetallic interval of 6.00 m at 0.206 g/t Au, 19.8 g/t Ag, 0.28% Cu, and 0.83% Zn. This interval includes a high-grade 0.50 m section grading 1.795 g/t Au, 223 g/t Ag, 3.31% Cu, and 8.47% Zn. Hole LBX26-111 returned 3.35 m at 0.523 g/t Au, which includes multiple polymetallic sub-intervals with elevated silver, copper, and zinc grades.

The Phase 1 drilling program has been expanded from 3,865 m to 5,605 m across 22 holes following an independent structural gap analysis by SRK Consulting. The drilling targets the A-Zone and McLeod mineralized horizons to improve geological continuity and support the evaluation of a potential maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). QA/QC protocols are standard, with 5% blanks, standards, and re-assays inserted randomly, showing no contamination or bias.

Material Impact

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (LME) reported results consistent with its objective of advancing the A-Zone toward a maiden mineral resource estimate and validating the project's structural model. The intersections confirmed the presence of both high-grade gold and broad polymetallic zones, justifying the expansion of the drill program.

The news is incremental to previous drill releases in August and September 2026, which also reported encouraging gold and base metal intercepts. The market has already priced in the drilling program and the $1.0 million financing closed in June 2026. The stock has traded in a tight range between $0.13 and $0.15 since mid-August, indicating the market views these results as expected progress rather than a fundamental shift in project economics. No new strategic investors, major permitting breakthroughs, or resource estimates were announced alongside the results.

Company Overview

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on its 100%-owned Ishkoday Gold and Polymetallic Project in Northwestern Ontario. The project covers approximately 57 square kilometres within the Beardmore-Geraldson and Onaman-Tashota Greenstone Belts. The geological model identifies two mineralizing events: an early epithermal-style gold-silver-zinc-copper system and a late orogenic gold system.

Historical drilling has exceeded 98,000 metres, confirming a district-scale mineralized corridor extending 6.0 km by 2.5 km. The company is advancing a phased exploration program targeting the A-Zone, McLeod Zone, and the historic Sturgeon River Mine area. Strategic initiatives include evaluating a surface stockpile recovery program and rehabilitating the historic Sturgeon River Mine shaft for advanced exploration.
