LAURION Reports Multiple Gold and Polymetallic Intercepts, Including 9.90 m Grading 0.563 g/t Au and 4.55 m Grading 0.76% Cu and 12.29 g/t Ag, Including 1.70 m Grading 1.56% Cu and 24.45 g/t Ag at Ishkoday

Executive Summary

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (LME) has released assay results for two diamond drill holes, LBX26-109 and LBX26-110, from the 2026 Phase 1 program at its 100%-owned Ishkōday Project. Located in the Beardmore–Geraldton and Onaman–Tashota greenstone belts, approximately 220 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario, the Phase 1 program has been expanded from 3,865 m to 5,605 m across 22 holes, guided by an SRK Consulting structural gap analysis.

Key intercepts as reported (core length, no true width, no numeric cutoff disclosed):

  • LBX26-110: 9.90 m grading 0.563 g/t Au from 205.70 m to 215.60 m (includes 2.30 m grading 1.693 g/t Au, 211.70–214.00 m)
  • LBX26-110: 4.55 m grading 0.063 g/t Au, 12.29 g/t Ag, 0.76% Cu, 0.16% Zn from 80.45 m to 85.00 m (includes 1.70 m grading 0.138 g/t Au, 24.45 g/t Ag, 1.56% Cu, 0.31% Zn; sub-includes 1.00 m grading 0.183 g/t Au, 32.05 g/t Ag, 2.16% Cu, 0.45% Zn)
  • LBX26-110: 3.70 m grading 0.246 g/t Au, 8.04 g/t Ag, 0.60% Cu, 1.08% Zn from 184.20 m to 187.90 m (includes 1.00 m grading 0.427 g/t Au, 17.15 g/t Ag, 1.18% Cu, 3.63% Zn)
  • LBX26-110: 6.00 m grading 0.210 g/t Au from 238.00 m to 244.00 m
  • LBX26-110: 4.40 m grading 0.072 g/t Au, 2.35 g/t Ag, 0.45% Cu from 37.30 m to 41.70 m; 2.80 m grading 0.272 g/t Au (29.60–32.40 m); 0.80 m grading 1.260 g/t Au (12.90–13.70 m); 0.70 m grading 0.414 g/t Au (25.80–26.50 m)
  • LBX26-109: 1.20 m grading 0.670 g/t Au, 1.52 g/t Ag, 0.04% Cu, 0.87% Zn from 17.90 m to 19.10 m; 0.50 m grading 0.144 g/t Au, 14.30 g/t Ag (26.20–26.70 m); 0.55 m grading 0.284 g/t Au (236.65–237.20 m)

The company states the 9.90 m and 6.00 m gold intervals in LBX26-110 were "unexpected," are associated with silicification of a shear zone and disseminated pyrite, and represent new geological information for follow-up. LBX26-109 was designed to test an isolated chargeability anomaly in the footwall of the River Shear plus strike extensions of historical holes 88-22 and K-56. LBX26-110 tested the River Shear and a modelled horizon as a step-back from historic hole K-45.

Material Impact

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (LME) is a pre-revenue company that reported a Q1-2026 net loss of C$610,745. The firm holds approximately C$4.88 million in cash plus roughly C$1.25 million in restricted flow-through funds, carries a going-concern flag, and remains dependent on equity financing. A C$1 million placement was completed in June 2026, and a C$1.25 million flow-through expenditure commitment falls due by 31 December 2026.

Shares trade at C$0.14, near the 52-week low of C$0.13 and approximately 66% below the 52-week high of C$0.41 set in October 2025.

The strongest recent polymetallic hole, LBX26-104 (5 August 2026), delivered 11.15 m @ 0.393 g/t Au, 6.06 g/t Ag, 0.18% Cu, 1.80% Zn (including 5.35 m @ 3.28% Zn and 1.95 m @ 6.34% Zn). This interval was meaningfully more zinc-rich, wider, and near-identical in gold grade to the current results. The 14 September holes (LBX26-106/107) were also comparable on gold with richer zinc and copper.

Today’s two holes deliver slightly less gold grade for comparable lengths and distinctly weaker zinc. LBX26-109 is effectively a miss on its stated target. LBX26-110’s one genuine positive is the identification of new, deeper gold-bearing horizons at 205–244 m.

Laurion is a pre-resource explorer, and while a genuine discovery or scale step-change would be highly material, these results are incremental. They are peripheral target tests that advance the geological database toward a maiden MRE but do not change the perceived scale, grade, or odds of the A-Zone in any step-change way. The expansion of Phase 1 from 3,865 m to 5,605 m had already been disclosed on 1 September 2026.

Company Overview

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: LME; OTCQB: LMEFF; FSE: 5YD) is a mid-stage Canadian explorer with no revenue. Its single flagship asset is the 100%-owned Ishkōday Gold and Base Metal Project, covering approximately 57 km², located about 220 km northeast of Thunder Bay in the Beardmore–Geraldton and Onaman–Tashota greenstone belts.

The company operates within a structurally controlled mineralised corridor measuring 6.0 km by 2.5 km. Historical and company drilling totals approximately 98,000–100,000 m across roughly 470 holes. The district includes two past-producing gold mines, Sturgeon River and Brenbar. Two mineralising events have been identified: an early epithermal-style Au-Ag-Zn-Cu event and a later orogenic gold event.

There is currently no NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, with a maiden MRE targeted for late 2026. Additional initiatives include the evaluation of historical surface stockpile processing for potential non-dilutive cash, and advanced-exploration permitting for the dewatering and rehabilitation of the historical Sturgeon River shaft, which is approximately 642 m deep and comprises 15 levels.

The capital structure consists of approximately 278.7 million shares outstanding as of Q1 2026, with a book value per share of approximately C$0.02. Management, insiders, and "friends and family" hold approximately 73.6% ownership, with the CEO as the largest shareholder. Laurion was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in October 2025 and has entered investor-awareness agreements with Apaton Finance and Dig Media/INN.
