Getty Drills 68.5m of 0.81% Cu from 39.5m and 184m of 0.37% Cu in First Holes at Getty South
Getty South reports 0.81% copper near surface, though width and continuity remain unproven.

Getty Copper Inc. (GTC) has released the first assay results from modern drilling at its Getty South property, marking the first such data in roughly 30 years. Hole GS26-01 returned 184m grading 0.37% Cu and 0.4 g/t Ag from 110m depth, including 28m at 0.83% Cu and 0.3 g/t Ag from 113m, including 10m at 1.90% Cu and 0.7 g/t Ag from 113m. Hole GS26-02 returned 68.5m grading 0.81% Cu and 0.3 g/t Ag from 39.5m depth, including 13.8m at 1.83% Cu and 0.4 g/t Ag from 43.7m.
The company states that copper mineralization has been extended 72m below historical intercepts and remains open north, south, and at depth within a broader IP anomaly. Assays are pending for 11 additional Getty South holes and 3 Getty North holes. Reported intervals are drilled widths; true widths are stated as not yet determined.
Getty Copper Inc. (GTC) is a pre-resource exploration and development company with no current 43-101 compliant resource or reserve. With a market capitalization of approximately C$68.5 million, exploration drilling serves as the primary value driver for the firm.
The recent results from Getty South represent the first modern drilling at the target, confirming high-grade near-surface copper alongside a deeper bulk porphyry-style interval. This news follows a period of significant price movement for the stock, which rose from about C$0.71 in early August to a high of C$1.04 in late August, driven by Getty North results and the district exploration pipeline. By September 1, the share price had pulled back to C$0.94, suggesting that some optimism had already been priced in before the South assays were known.
While the new result is positive and differentiated enough to support the South story, it is not yet transformative. The data lacks true width, multiple step-out pads, cutoff disclosure, and a defined resource footprint. On balance, the result opens a second, higher-grade near-surface front at an under-drilled target, but it falls short of a game-changing event pending step-out confirmation.
Getty Copper Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on southern British Columbia. The company holds the 82%-owned Getty Property, located adjacent to Teck's Highland Valley Copper Mine, and the 100%-owned DOT Property. Getty North hosts a historical indicated resource grading about 0.37% Cu, and the company is working to modernise that historical estimate. In late 2025 and early 2026, Getty completed a C$15M financing and amalgamation with Numberco, bringing in new management and the DOT Property. The company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under GTC and on the OTCQX under GTCDF.
