Getty Drills 194m of 0.62% Copper from 27m at Getty North
Getty North features broad near-surface porphyry copper intervals that lack the grade or scale to transform the investment thesis.

Getty Copper Inc. (GTC) has released assay results from nine drill holes (GN26-02 to GN26-12) at its Getty North porphyry deposit, marking progress in a 2026 spring exploration program totaling 10,807 meters. The company stated that the findings validate the historical resource and highlight growth potential, with three holes at Getty North and 13 at Getty South still pending.
Key intercepts from the program include:
- 194 m @ 0.62% Cu from 27 m (GN26-11, including 69 m @ 0.90% Cu)
- 324 m @ 0.50% Cu from 33 m (GN26-08)
- 480 m @ 0.34% Cu from 3 m (GN26-02)
- 462 m @ 0.35% Cu from 12 m (GN26-06)
Expansion drilling extended mineralization by 60 meters to over 230 meters beyond historical holes on three sections. Holes GN26-07, -09, and -12 intersected lower-grade expansion zones. Getty Copper plans up to 5,000 meters of additional drilling in 2026 to target resource expansion, a move supported by costs that have come in lower than budgeted.
Getty Copper Inc. (GTC) has completed routine confirmation and expansion drilling at its pre-resource exploration site. The latest results align with and slightly exceed the initial 2026 holes, which returned 342 m @ 0.50% Cu. These findings do not materially alter the deposit’s grade or size narrative.
Following the company’s amalgamation and initial drill results, the market re-rated the stock from $0.30 to approximately $1.00. However, subsequent releases have not prevented a drift back to $0.71. The stock chart shows a decline from early June highs despite the positive news flow, suggesting the market now views these results as incremental.
The company retains cash to continue drilling, though the deposit’s bulk-tonnage grade remains marginal compared to tier-one porphyries.
Getty Copper Inc. (GTC) holds a district-scale land package in the Highland Valley Copper District of British Columbia, situated adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper Mine. The company’s key assets include the Getty North deposit, which carries a historic indicated resource grading of 0.37% Cu, and the Getty South deposit, which features the Trojan Zone with historical high-grade intercepts.
The company was revitalized through a late-2025 amalgamation that acquired the Dot Property, alongside a concurrent $15M financing. This transaction left Getty Copper debt-free with approximately $9.9M in cash. A new management team, led by CEO Ryan O’Regan and VP Exploration Roy Greig, initiated the first significant drilling in 30 years. The 2026 exploration plan calls for approximately 14,000 to 16,000 meters of drilling, with roughly half of that work already complete.
Getty Copper trades on the TSX Venture under the ticker GTC and recently uplisted to OTCQX under the ticker GTCDF. A 5:1 share consolidation has been approved.
