Decade Drills Into Porphyry-Style Copper Mineralization in First-Ever Deep Test Beneath a High Chargeability Anomaly at Bonaparte

Decade’s first deep Bonaparte hole encountered porphyry alteration, with assay results pending.

Executive Summary

Decade Resources Ltd. (DEC) announced that the first hole of Phase I drilling at its Bonaparte copper-gold property intersected porphyry-style copper mineralization at depth beneath a high chargeability anomaly.

DDH 1 reached a bottom-of-hole depth of 621.6 m and encountered the following visual alteration sequence:

  • 0 to 252.1 m: diorite intrusive rock with feldspar porphyry
  • 252.1 to 452 m: propylitic altered rocks with epidote and chlorite
  • 421 to 557 m: potassic altered rocks with biotite bands and potassium feldspar
  • 557 to 621.6 m: altered mineralized feldspar porphyry described as containing quartz replacements, quartz veins, feldspar alteration, chalcopyrite and occasional molybdenite

The release describes very fine-grained sulphides in dark mafic portions between feldspar grains and along narrow veinlets. Mineralization is said to be open to depth, and core sampling is underway.

No assay results are provided. The July soil sampling program of over 750 soil samples and 30 rock samples also remains pending.

Material Impact

Decade Resources Ltd. (DEC) is a pre-resource, micro-cap explorer with no revenue and modest cash. The materiality of this release must be measured against the equity story, not against a resource or mine plan.

The stock rose from roughly C$0.06 to C$0.11 between early June and mid-August 2026 as drilling was permitted, mobilized, and commenced. Before this release, the stock was around C$0.09 to C$0.10, suggesting the market had begun to price a speculative drilling story but had not yet seen any assays.

The geological confirmation of porphyry-style alteration is genuinely new information, but it is not a grade-bearing result. This release provides visual evidence that the geological concept has some merit, but without copper or gold grades, true width, or continuity, it does not yet alter the fundamental risk that the system may be subeconomic.
