Decade Resources begins phase I drilling at Bonaparte
Decade’s maiden drilling at the Bonaparte buried porphyry target tests the deposit while the company’s cash runway remains tight.

Decade Resources Ltd. has commenced Phase I diamond drilling at its Bonaparte copper-gold property in British Columbia. The initial drill hole, designated DDH 1, targets a strong induced polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly interpreted to begin at approximately 300 meters depth, validating geological speculation of a buried porphyry system beneath the historic Discovery zone. The Phase I program consists of six holes totaling a minimum of 3,000 meters of NQ-sized core.
Surface soil sampling results from late July are currently pending review and release. Historical context provided includes a 1994 bulk sample averaging 25.4 g/t Au and a 2010 sample grading 16.3 g/t Au, though the company explicitly notes these historical results have not been verified by a qualified person and are not treated as current. President Ed Kruchkowski characterizes the start of drilling as a major milestone and the culmination of compilation, sampling, and exploration work completed over the past year.
Decade Resources Ltd. (DEC) has commenced drilling, a development that aligns with its previously announced 2026 exploration strategy. The move follows the expected progression of events: drilling plans were announced in February, permit applications were submitted in June, permits were received in July, and mobilization and drilling began in August.
The release does not provide new assay results or geological data, serving only to confirm the operational execution of a planned program. This announcement represents an incremental, expected step in the exploration lifecycle and does not alter the company's valuation or financial position. The market had already priced in the drilling timeline based on prior permit and mobilization updates.
