Independence Gold Intersects 5.12 g/t Gold and 33.04 g/t Silver over 9.23 Metres at Depth at the Goofy Vein, 3Ts Project, BC

Independence’s Goofy depth hole confirms the vein but shows grade-thickness roughly 80% below the discovery intercept.

Executive Summary

Independence Gold Corp. (IGO) has reported a new intercept from the Goofy Vein at its 3Ts Project in British Columbia, derived from drill hole 3TS-26-48. The company noted that this hole is located approximately 30 meters below the original Goofy discovery hole, 3TS-26-39, and stated that the vein remains open along strike and at depth.

The main intercept from hole 3TS-26-48 measures 9.23 meters grading 5.12 g/t Au and 33.04 g/t Ag, extending from 62.77 meters to 72.00 meters downhole, with an estimated true width of 4.00 meters. High-grade intervals within this zone include:

  • 0.60 m grading 21.33 g/t Au and 230.00 g/t Ag from 63.37 m.
  • 1.33 m grading 11.09 g/t Au and 42.11 g/t Ag from 66.12 m.

This release contains only one new drill interval.

Material Impact

Independence Gold Corp. (IGO) is an advanced exploration and resource-stage gold-silver explorer that released a 2025 mineral resource estimate and is scheduled for 2026 discovery drilling.

The previous Goofy discovery was a market-moving event, and the market is now priced for repetition or extension of that style of result. Recent depth follow-up confirms the vein is present at depth but delivers materially lower grade and width. Against the embedded Goofy anchor, this is a disappointing step-out result.

The findings do not destroy the 3Ts district story, but they reduce confidence in the high-grade continuity of Goofy specifically. The expected price impact is likely negative, and a pullback from near the 52-week high toward support would be unsurprising.

Company Overview

Independence Gold Corp. is a Canadian mineral explorer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, with its flagship asset being the 3Ts Gold and Silver Project in central British Columbia. The project encompasses a tenure of 31 mineral claims covering approximately 35,486 hectares and is characterized as a low-sulphidation epithermal quartz-carbonate vein district. Located approximately 16 km southwest of Artemis Gold’s Blackwater Mine, the district has identified at least twenty known mineralized veins, twelve of which remain untested by drilling.

The company’s 2025 mineral resource estimate includes an Indicated category of 2.79 Mt at 4.22 g/t AuEq, containing about 378,000 oz AuEq, and an Inferred category of 2.96 Mt at 4.06 g/t AuEq, containing about 387,000 oz AuEq. Combined, the total Indicated and Inferred resources amount to approximately 5.75 Mt at 4.14 g/t AuEq, or roughly 765,000 oz AuEq. Discoveries made in 2026, including Balrog, Goofy, and Dixie, are not yet included in the resource estimate. Beyond the 3Ts project, Independence Gold holds other projects in the Yukon and British Columbia, specifically the Boulevard and Tay properties.

Financially, the company reports no revenue, with cash holdings of about C$3.96 million at June 30, 2026, and working capital of about C$2.49 million. The company carries no debt. According to Q2 2026 financials, there are 263,947,852 shares outstanding. However, the investor presentation references about 291.8 million shares as of June 30, 2025, indicating that fully diluted and structural share counts should be monitored.
