Independence Gold Discovers New High-Grade Goofy Vein Returning 14.70 g/t Gold over 9.10 Metres at the 3Ts Project, BC
Independence identified a 9.1m wide high-grade vein at 3Ts, returning 14.7 g/t gold, though continuity remains unproven pending further assays.

Independence Gold Corp. (IGO) has identified a new mineralized zone, dubbed the “Goofy Vein,” on its 3Ts Gold Project in British Columbia. The discovery is located approximately 250 meters west of the existing Ted-Mint Vein System.
The find was generated by testing a radial structural corridor that coincides with thorium anomalies identified during the 2025 airborne radiometric survey.
Drill hole 3TS-26-39 intersected 9.10 meters grading 14.70 grams per tonne gold and 36.70 grams per tonne silver from a depth of 44.20 meters to 53.30 meters, with an estimated true width of 7.00 meters. A higher-grade sub-interval within this intersection returned 1.70 meters grading 63.67 grams per tonne gold and 54.11 grams per tonne silver.
Additional drilling has been completed along strike and at depth, with assays currently pending. The company describes the vein as open along strike and at depth.
Independence Gold Corp. (IGO) has identified a genuinely new blind vein in a known district, validating a structural model that previously generated the Balrog Vein, which returned 10.6 m @ 2.23 g/t Au. The Goofy Vein’s grade and width are materially better than those of the Balrog Vein.
For a junior explorer with a current resource of approximately 378 koz AuEq Indicated and 387 koz Inferred, and a modest C$26 M market cap, this high-grade intercept demonstrates district-scale continuity and opens a new vein target for resource expansion. However, the market’s prior expectations already priced in ongoing discovery success following the Balrog Vein, and the stock has not yet moved above the C$0.10-0.12 range. The single-hole nature of the discovery caps the upside until confirmatory assays arrive.
Independence Gold Corp. is a junior explorer with no revenue and a portfolio of early-stage gold-silver projects in British Columbia and the Yukon. Its flagship asset is the 3Ts Project, a 100%-owned, 35,486-hectare low-sulphidation epithermal vein district hosting 19 or more known veins. The project is adjacent to Artemis Gold’s Blackwater Mine.
The 2025 Indicated resource for the 3Ts Project stands at 2.79 million tonnes at 4.22 grams per tonne of gold equivalent, containing 378,000 ounces of gold equivalent. The Inferred resource totals 2.96 million tonnes at 4.06 grams per tonne of gold equivalent, containing 387,000 ounces of gold equivalent.
The company also holds the Tay and Boulevard Projects, which are early-stage grassroots targets with no resources. Independence Gold Corp. reported a cash position of C$6.46 million at Q1 2026, which is sufficient for the near-term drill program but requires further financing for sustained exploration.
