Silver Hammer and Stroud Resources Announce Updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Santo Domingo Silver-Gold Project, Mexico
Stroud’s updated MRE validates the Santo Domingo asset while Sprott cornerstone financing secures the deal runway.

Silver Hammer Mining Corp. and Stroud Resources Ltd. announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Santo Domingo Silver-Gold Project in Jalisco, Mexico. The updated MRE replaces the 2017 estimate and reports Total Measured and Indicated resources of 5.7 Mt at 79 g/t Ag and 0.42 g/t Au, containing 14.3 moz Ag and 76 koz Au (20 moz AgEq). Inferred resources total 3.9 Mt at 66 g/t Ag and 0.31 g/t Au (11 moz AgEq).
The resource model uses a break-even underground mining NSR cut-off of US$90.0/t, with silver recoveries up to 86% and gold recoveries up to 95%. Metal prices used for the AgEq calculation were US$73/oz Ag and US$4,550/oz Au.
The technical update is filed concurrently with information circulars for a proposed three-cornered amalgamation between Silver Hammer, Stroud, and SilverMark Resources Inc. Shareholder votes for the transaction are scheduled for September 28, 2026. The MRE supports the concurrent C$7-10 million brokered financing announced on August 26, 2026, which includes a cornerstone investment from Eric Sprott.
Stroud Resources Ltd. (SDR) released an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) that shows a slight decrease in contained ounces compared to the 2017 estimate, reporting 19.01 moz AgEq Measured and Indicated resources against the previous 20.0 moz AgEq. Management stated that contemporary geological modeling and rigorous QA/QC protocols make the resource more robust and transparent.
The update is a standard component of the ongoing amalgamation process, designed to satisfy regulatory and shareholder requirements for the transaction. Concurrently, the company secured a C$10M financing to provide immediate liquidity and de-risk deal execution, with funds held in escrow until closing conditions are met.
Silver Hammer Mining Corp. is moving forward with a three-way amalgamation involving Stroud Resources Ltd. and SilverMark Resources Inc. to create Silver Frontier Resources Corp. The newly formed entity will merge Silver Hammer’s U.S. assets with Stroud’s advanced-stage Santo Domingo silver-gold project in Mexico and SilverMark’s Moroccan portfolio, which includes the past-producing Akka Polymetallic Mine.
The Santo Domingo Project is situated in the Hostotipaquillo mining region of Jalisco, Mexico, and is positioned for potential open-pit production. Through this combination, the company is transitioning from an exploration-stage focus to a diversified, advanced-stage silver exploration and development company.
