Trident Resources Announces the Commencement of an Airborne Magnetic and Radiometric Geophysical Survey over the Reindeer Gold Property

Trident is halfway through its 20,000-metre summer drill program and has begun an airborne survey at the Reindeer project.

Executive Summary

Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) has initiated a 6,600 line-kilometer airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey across its Reindeer Gold Property in Northern Saskatchewan. Concurrently, the company’s 20,000-meter summer drill program at the flagship Contact Lake Gold Project is approximately halfway complete. Management has reported encouraging visual indications of mineralization, although final geochemical assays remain pending.

A comprehensive soil sampling and prospecting program is also underway across the Contact Lake and adjacent Preview project areas. This initiative aims to collect approximately 9,000 soil samples to help refine future drilling targets.

Additionally, Trident Resources issued an administrative clarification regarding a July 24, 2026 equity grant of 1,525,000 stock options and 1,107,500 DSUs to directors, officers, and consultants. These grants are subject to shareholder approval at the next annual general meeting under the TSXV Option Plan. If the grants are not approved, they will be cancelled.

Material Impact

Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) released expected, incremental progress on previously announced exploration programs, including updates on its airborne survey and drill program. These developments followed the company’s June mobilization and August 5 progress reports. The release confirms the execution of the 2026 exploration plan but provides no new assay results, survey interpretations, or financial updates.

The company also issued a clarification regarding an equity grant, a standard corporate governance practice that carries minimal market impact unless the AGM vote reveals significant shareholder opposition.

Company Overview

Trident Resources Corp. (TSXV: ROCK) is a Saskatchewan-focused gold explorer formed via the merger of Eros Resources, MAS Gold, and Rockridge Resources. Its flagship Contact Lake Gold Project is located in the La Ronge Gold Belt (LRGB) in Northern Saskatchewan and covers approximately 22,790 hectares.

The Contact Lake mine, operated by Cameco, produced approximately 190,000 ounces of gold at an average head grade of 6.16 g/t between 1994 and 1998. Mining ceased at 340 meters depth when gold prices were approximately $300/oz, leaving substantial resources in the ground. Trident aims to build a district-scale gold company across a 130,000+ hectare land package. Other key assets include Preview SW, Preview North, North Lake, Greywacke, and the Reindeer property. The Knife Lake Copper Project is held under an option agreement with Apogee Minerals.

The company is led by CEO Jonathan Wiesblatt, formerly of Sprott Asset Management and Ninepoint Partners, with geology directors Ross McElroy, formerly of Fission Uranium, and Tim Termuende.
