Trident Intersects High-Grade Gold Over Significant Widths 220.00 Metres Below Historical Mine Workings at Contact Lake, Grading 8.69 g/t Gold Over 11.97m, Including 31.98 g/t Au Over 3.16m

Trident’s deep step-out intersections reveal high-grade orogenic gold below the old mine scale, highlighting unproven potential at the deposit.

Executive Summary

Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) has released assay results from the first three holes of its 2026 summer exploration program at the Contact Lake property in Saskatchewan. The initial results include holes CL26049, CL26050, and CL26051.

The most significant intercept came from CL26050, which was drilled into the Main Zone/BK1 area. This hole returned 8.69 g/t Au over 11.97 m from 613.03 m downhole, including a higher-grade interval of 31.98 g/t Au over 3.16 m. This main intercept is located 220 vertical metres below the lowest historical mine workings at the Main Zone.

CL26050 also returned 4.24 g/t Au over 5.94 m from 484.10 m and 1.41 g/t Au over 16.20 m from 521.81 m.

Holes CL26049 and CL26051 tested the Buffer Zone between BK1 and BK3. CL26049 returned 3.46 g/t Au over 15.00 m, including 3.91 g/t Au over 13.00 m, and 1.15 g/t Au over 15.03 m, including 1.73 g/t Au over 8.66 m. CL26051 returned 6.43 g/t Au over 7.45 m, 6.12 g/t Au over 5.03 m, and 3.45 g/t Au over 13.42 m.

Seventeen holes totaling 12,066 m of the planned 20,000 m program are now complete, with roughly 8,000 m remaining. Assays from the other 14 completed holes are pending. The company states it holds about $20 million in cash and marketable securities.

Material Impact

Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) released a discovery and step-out drill result rather than an infill hole, making the comparison to prior significant intersections critical. The most relevant historical benchmark is the April 29, 2026, result from hole BK3 (CL26036), which returned 15.11 g/t Au over 51.83 m, equating to approximately 783 g/t-m core length. That interval included individual assays up to 1,055 g/t Au. Following that announcement, the stock re-rated from roughly $3.10 to $4.02 within two sessions, eventually reaching a 52-week high of $4.64.

The latest result, CL26050, is materially smaller in both grade and width compared to the BK3 anchor. CL26050 returned 8.69 g/t Au over 11.97 m, a gram-metre value of roughly 104 g/t-m, versus the 783 g/t-m from the prior hole.

However, CL26050 is not a failed step-out from BK3. It represents the first deep test below the Main Zone/BK1 and intersected high-grade mineralization 220 m below historical workings. Additionally, holes in the Buffer Zone indicate mineralization in an underexplored area. The news is considered a positive but incremental data point rather than thesis-damaging.

The stock has already re-rated from $0.82 to $4.64 and currently trades at $4.09, reflecting market pricing for a district-scale high-grade system. This release does not deliver a new tier-one or superior-to-prior anchor result.

Company Overview

Trident Resources Corp. is a Canadian gold exploration company focused on Saskatchewan's La Ronge Gold Belt. It was formed from the merger of Eros Resources, MAS Gold and Rockridge Resources.

Core assets include:

  • Contact Lake Gold Project: past-producing mine that produced about 190,000 oz Au at 6.16 g/t from 1994 to 1998; current exploration is testing depth and strike extensions
  • Preview SW and Preview North deposits
  • North Lake deposit
  • Greywacke North deposit
  • Knife Lake copper project, optioned to Apogee Minerals

The November 2025 mineral resource estimate shows about 0.9 moz indicated and 1.1 moz inferred across the four deposits excluding Contact Lake. Most of that resource base is low-grade bulk tonnage, with combined indicated grade of 1.13 g/t Au and inferred grade of 0.91 g/t Au.

The investor presentation lists 39.91 million shares outstanding and about $22 million in working capital. The current release states about $20 million in cash and marketable securities.
