Trident Resources Announces Completion of High-Resolution Airborne Geophysical Survey over the Reindeer Gold Property and the Commencement of a Tightly-spaced Drone Magnetic Survey at Contact Lake
Trident advances its 20,000-metre drill program and secures the Reindeer property ahead of schedule.

Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) has completed a high-resolution radiometric and magnetic survey covering 6,600 line-kilometers across its 29,300-hectare Reindeer Gold Project. The company also initiated a tightly-spaced (25m) drone magnetic survey at the Contact Lake Gold Property, covering approximately 8 km² to identify near-term drill targets.
Progress on the 2026 summer drill program at Contact Lake has surpassed 11,000 meters of an anticipated 20,000-meter target. Concurrently, a comprehensive soil sampling program is underway, targeting 9,000 samples across Contact Lake and the adjacent Preview project.
Trident accelerated the earn-in process for the Reindeer Project, issuing 1,000,000 common shares to Reinco Exploration Limited to acquire a 100% interest, completing the transaction ahead of schedule. CEO Jon Wiesblatt highlighted the company’s strong balance sheet and fully funded 2026 exploration program, noting expectations for a steady stream of catalysts including assay results from the remaining summer and fall drilling.
Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK) released an update confirming expected execution on its previously announced exploration plans and the completion of a property acquisition. The early completion of the Reindeer earn-in demonstrates management efficiency, though it does not introduce new fundamental value.
Drilling progress remains on track, with 11,000 meters completed out of a 20,000-meter program. The release provided no new assay results, offering only operational progress and visual indications. The market has already priced in the 20,000-meter program and the Reindeer acquisition.
The update serves as a confirmation of capital deployment and project advancement, reinforcing management's execution capability and financial strength. While the impact is positive and incremental, mitigating execution risk, it lacks the surprise element or material data required to shift the valuation trajectory or alter the fundamental risk/reward profile.
Trident Resources Corp. is a Saskatchewan-focused gold and copper explorer formed via the merger of Eros Resources, MAS Gold, and Rockridge Resources. The company’s flagship asset is the Contact Lake Gold Project, a past-producing mine that yielded approximately 190,000 ounces of gold at an average head grade of 6.16 g/t between 1994 and 1998.
Other assets include the Preview SW, Preview North, North Lake, Greywacke North, and Reindeer properties. The Knife Lake copper property is held under an option agreement with Apogee Minerals. Trident’s land package covers approximately 98,700 hectares in the La Ronge Gold Belt, providing significant district-scale exploration potential. The company’s resource base includes combined indicated and inferred resources exceeding 2.0 million ounces of gold across four wholly-owned deposits, excluding ounces from the Contact Lake target area.
