Osisko Intersects 312 Metres Averaging 0.56% Cu at Gaspe
Osisko reports 312.5 m at 0.56% copper in porphyry and skarn infill drilling at its project.

Osisko Metals Incorporated (OM) reported 35 mineralized intercepts from 15 new drill holes at its Gaspé Copper Project in Québec on 2026-08-20. The headline interval comes from DDH 30-1223, a vertical infill hole located near the southern margin of the 2026 MRE model, which returned 312.5 m averaging 0.56% Cu, 4.89 g/t Ag, and 0.57% CuEq from 28.0 m to 340.5 m. This interval includes 36.0 m averaging 1.88% Cu, 13.3 g/t Ag, and 1.90% CuEq, as well as 10.5 m averaging 2.66% Cu, 23.5 g/t Ag, and 2.68% CuEq.
Other notable results include 30-1218, which returned 117.9 m at 0.49% Cu, including 9.0 m at 2.73% Cu; 30-1213, which returned 57.0 m at 0.63% Cu, including 6.20 m at 3.18% Cu; and 30-1215, which returned 79.0 m at 0.43% Cu. Additionally, 30-1220 returned infill intervals including 43.5 m at 0.51% Cu, 0.101% Mo, and 0.86% CuEq. The holes are categorized as infill, in-pit expansion, and out-of-pit expansion around Needle East and Needle Mountain. True widths are estimated at 80-90% of core length, with a cut-off of 0.12% CuEq over contiguous 20 m intervals.
Osisko Metals Incorporated (OM) has completed infill and step-out drilling at its Gaspé deposit, a move that serves to support resource conversion and local expansion rather than transform the asset. The company previously reported a 1.83 billion-tonne measured and indicated resource grading 0.32% copper equivalent in April 2026.
The latest assay results are above resource grade, representing an expected confirmation of the deposit’s quality rather than a new discovery or significant step-out. For an advanced explorer with a C$1.54 billion market capitalization, the 15 drill holes constitute routine positive news.
Osisko’s shares have already seen substantial appreciation, rising from approximately C$0.40 in August 2025 to a high of C$1.94 in June 2026.
Osisko Metals Incorporated (OM) is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on copper and zinc. The company’s Gaspé Copper Project is a past-producing copper-molybdenum-silver asset in Québec, which it acquired from Glencore in July 2023. Current resources at Gaspé include 1.83 billion tonnes of Measured and Indicated material averaging 0.32% CuEq, and 239 million tonnes of Inferred resources averaging 0.46% CuEq; no mineral reserves have been defined.
Osisko also holds a joint venture with Appian Capital for the Pine Point zinc project, which contains 49.5 million tonnes of Indicated resources at 5.52% ZnEq and 8.3 million tonnes of Inferred resources at 5.64% ZnEq. Strategic shareholders include Glencore, Agnico Eagle, Hudbay, Franco-Nevada, and CDPQ. As of June 30, 2026, the company held C$102.7 million in cash, prior to the July Glencore debenture conversion. Shares outstanding following the conversion are approximately 890.7 million.
