Maple Gold Reports Final Joutel Winter Drill Results, Including 8.6 g/t Gold over 4.2 Metres Within 2.5 g/t Gold over 18.3 Metres in the Eagle Mine Area, and Launches Expanded, Fully Funded 25,000 Metre Fall Drill Campaign
Maple’s $9 million winter drill campaign at Joutel confirms high-grade continuity across the deposit.

Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (MGM) has released final results from its 10,870-meter winter drill campaign at the Joutel Gold Project, confirming high-grade gold mineralization extending up to 450 meters beyond the historical Eagle-Telbel underground workings. The program achieved an 86% success rate, with 19 of 22 holes returning results. Seven holes yielded individual intervals exceeding 15 g/t Au.
A key intercept reported from the Eagle Mine area included 8.6 g/t Au over 4.2 meters within a broader zone of 2.5 g/t Au over 18.3 meters. These findings supported the company’s maiden Joutel Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which established 0.9 million tonnes of Indicated resources grading 4.53 g/t Au (126,000 ounces) and 7.5 million tonnes of Inferred resources grading 4.11 g/t Au (992,000 ounces).
Looking ahead, the company is launching a fully funded 25,000-meter fall drill campaign budgeted at $9 million. The program will be financed from the company’s existing treasury, which holds approximately $23 million in cash. Objectives for the fall program include filling gaps between the Eagle and Telbel deposits, converting Inferred resources to Indicated status, and testing expansion zones located northwest of Eagle and southeast of Telbel.
Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (MGM) released winter drill results and a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), marking anticipated milestones following the aggressive 30,000m program announced in late 2025. The results validate high-grade continuity and support the district-scale platform narrative, though they do not introduce a fundamental shift in project economics or new strategic partnerships.
The $9M fall campaign was already budgeted and publicly announced. Its full funding from treasury demonstrates financial discipline and eliminates near-term dilution risk for this phase. The market has already priced in the resource growth trajectory, with the stock advancing from approximately $1.50 in November 2025 to approximately $3.90 in May 2026. This release serves as a confirmation of prior expectations rather than a new catalyst.
Maple Gold Mines Ltd. is a Canadian gold exploration company focused on its 100%-owned Douay and Joutel Gold Projects in Quebec's Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The property spans approximately 481 km² along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone, situated parallel to major gold producers including Detour, Casa Berardi, and Malartic.
Joutel is a past-producing underground mine that yielded 1.1 moz Au at 6.5 g/t Au between 1974 and 1993. Recent drilling has extended high-grade mineralization 450m beyond historical workings. The Douay project features open-pit and underground potential with bulk tonnage and high-grade plunging shoots. The company is advancing toward a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) targeted for 2027.
