Eastport Critical Metals Intersects over 120m of Copper Mineralisation in Step-Out Diamond Drilling at NAK-East, Extending the NAK Strike Length by 5km
Eastport Critical reports 122.4m of 0.11% copper at the NAK-East deposit, extending the mineralised zone by five kilometres.

Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (EVI) reported Phase 1 step-out diamond drill results from the Matsitama Copper Project in Botswana, covering five holes across the NAK-East and NAK-West zones.
Key intercepts from NAK-East, reported as core lengths with no true width stated, include: - NEDD25-001: 18.1m @ 0.135% Cu, and 30.9m @ 0.104% Cu. - NEDD25-002: 97.4m @ 0.119% Cu, including 27.0m @ 0.227% Cu and sub-including 10.8m @ 0.354% Cu. - NEDD26-003: 122.4m @ 0.112% Cu, including 35.0m @ 0.212% Cu and sub-including 12.0m @ 0.350% Cu.
The NAK-West zone returned narrower intercepts, such as 10.7m @ 0.153% Cu and 5.5m @ 0.243% Cu. The company stated the results suggest a potential mineralized strike length of up to 10km linking the NAK-Main, East, and West areas.
Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (EVI) released drill results from its NAK project, including step-out holes at NAK-East and NAK-West, as well as infill drilling at NAK-Main. The step-out holes demonstrated that sub-economic copper mineralization extends 5km away from the main deposit, but provided no evidence of mineable grades in those areas. In contrast, the July infill results at NAK-Main confirmed higher-grade material within the historic resource envelope.
For a junior explorer, a large low-grade halo can be viewed negatively if it suggests the higher-grade core is limited. The market likely expected step-out holes to encounter grades similar to those at NAK-Main, making these results potentially disappointing.
No price data is currently available to gauge market reaction. From a fundamental standpoint, these results are not material enough to support a resource or a maiden estimate. The company’s cash position of $2.5 million as of April 30 and a going concern flag highlight the need for value-accretive news, which this release does not provide.
Eastport Critical Metals Corp. is a Canadian junior explorer focused on critical metals in Botswana. Its flagship Matsitama Copper Project covers approximately 1,845km² and hosts the NAK deposit, which contains a historical (non-43-101) resource of 9.9Mt at 0.46% Cu based on a 0.3% cut-off. Other assets include the Semarule REE Project, the Foley Uranium Project adjacent to Lotus Resources’ Letlhakane, the Selebi East Ni-Cu-PGE project, and the Keng project.
The company went public in November 2025 via a Qualifying Transaction, raising approximately $7.9M, and immediately launched three concurrent drill programs. It maintains a multi-commodity pitch but has limited cash and a going concern warning.
