Eastport Intersects 47.5m at 0.64% TREO From 20m Including 7.5m at 2.52% TREO Within 330m at 0.21% TREO at Semarule

Eastport Critical reports a broad 330m interval grading 0.21% total rare earth oxides in its first Semarule rare earth exploration hole.

Executive Summary

Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (EVI) has released the first assay results from Phase 1 diamond drilling at its Semarule Rare Earth Element (REE) Project in Botswana. The data centers on hole SEM005, which was drilled to a depth of 349.9 meters at a -50° dip on the western edge of the Semarule syenite target.

The company reported a headline intercept of 330 meters at 0.21% total rare earth oxides (TREO) starting from 20 meters downhole. This interval includes 47.5 meters at 0.64% TREO from 20 meters, 7.5 meters at 2.52% TREO from 22.5 meters, and 2.5 meters at 5.95% TREO from 27.5 meters. Additional intervals identified include 20.0 meters at 0.144% TREO from 125 meters, 132.5 meters at 0.191% TREO from 172.5 meters, and 7.5 meters at 0.428% TREO from 40 meters.

Eastport stated that magnetic rare earth oxides (MREO) average 28% of TREO, comprising dysprosium, terbium, neodymium, and praseodymium. The full assay table indicates that the 330-meter interval effectively spans the entire hole from 20 meters to 350 meters, rather than representing a cutoff-limited mineralized zone.

In corporate news, the release noted that director Herrick Lau resigned effective September 9, 2026.

Material Impact

Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (EVI) is a pre-revenue, pre-resource junior explorer with no current NI 43-101 resource. Consequently, the Semarule results do not change any existing reserve, resource, or net asset value because none exists. The release is genuinely new for Semarule, marking the first assay, though it represents a single drill hole with unstated true width, no cutoff, and no metallurgy.

The equity is small, carrying a basic market cap of roughly C$14m, with the stock trading near its 52-week low around C$0.42. There is no embedded high-grade anchor at Semarule because no prior Semarule assays were published; previous news was visual and geophysical, meaning this release is not a miss against an established grade expectation.

The result is encouraging but does not establish a deposit. It is a strong lone first hole, not a tier-one discovery or a company-maker. The broader financial position remains weak, with the company holding about C$2.5m cash at April 30, 2026, a going-concern warning, and significant exploration burn. Any positive news flow competes with the need for future dilution.

Company Overview

Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (TSXV: EVI) is a junior explorer listed on the TSXV, focused on critical metals in Botswana. The company’s flagship asset is the Matsitama Copper Project, which includes the Nakalakwana area. This area holds a historical SAMREC resource of approximately 9.9 million tonnes at 0.46% copper, which has not yet been brought into current NI 43-101 compliance.

The company’s portfolio also includes the Selebi East nickel-copper-cobalt project, located near the historic Selebi Mine; the Semarule rare earth element project situated in syenite and carbonatite rocks near Gaborone; the Foley uranium project adjacent to Lotus Resources’ Letlhakane deposit; and the Keng nickel-copper-PGE target near the Molopo Farms Complex. Eastport currently has no revenue, no producing mines, and no NI 101 resource.

Daniel Major was appointed CEO effective July 1, 2026, while Burns Singh Tennent-Bhohi transitioned to Executive Chairman. As of April 30, 2026, the company held approximately C$2.5 million in cash, faces a going-concern warning, and continues to incur exploration losses.
