Bayhorse Silver Underground Drilling Operations to Recommence After Wildfire Contained
Bayhorse resumes drilling at its Oregon silver project after a wildfire was contained with no damage to operations.

Bayhorse Silver Inc. has announced the immediate resumption of underground drilling operations at its Bayhorse Mine in Oregon. The company had suspended operations on July 24, 2026, due to a rapidly expanding wildfire at Fox Creek that burned approximately 7,000 acres.
The wildfire has since been extinguished and access restrictions have been lifted. An inspection by CEO Graeme O'Neill confirmed that all mine infrastructure and equipment sustained no damage. Proactive safety measures, including extended fire clearance zones and the use of non-flammable materials for critical structures, successfully protected the site. All personnel were safely evacuated, and drilling is set to recommence immediately following the lifting of restrictions.
Bayhorse Silver Inc. (BHS) issued a follow-up to its suspension announcements made on July 24, 25, and 27, 2026. The market was already aware of the operational halt and the associated wildfire risk. The confirmation of zero infrastructure damage and the immediate resumption of drilling serves as an expected, incremental operational update. This development removes the temporary uncertainty surrounding the suspension but does not introduce new fundamental value, strategic shifts, or unexpected financial impacts. The impact on the stock price is expected to be neutral to marginally positive, as it simply restores the planned exploration timeline without altering the underlying project economics or permitting status.
Bayhorse Silver Inc. (BHS) is a junior explorer advancing the Bayhorse Silver Mine in Oregon and the Pegasus Porphyry Copper Project in Idaho. The company’s flagship project features a 2018 NI 43-101 inferred resource of 292,300 tons at 21.65 oz/t (673 g/t) for 6.3 million ounces of silver.
Bayhorse Silver has invested in significant infrastructure, including a Steinert XRT ore-sorter, a permitted 50-60 t/d flotation mill in Payette, Idaho, and extensive underground development such as haulageways and drifts. The exploration model focuses on high-grade silver-copper-antimony-zinc tetrahedrite mineralization, with plans to utilize selective antimony leaching to improve recoveries and unlock additional metal credits. The company is targeting a 200 t/d mining rate, pending receipt of a Full Operating Permit from the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI).
