Hudbay Files Technical Report for its Snow Lake Operations in Manitoba
HudBay formalizes Snow Lake reserve conversion and advances its copper growth pipeline.

HudBay Minerals Inc. has filed the 2026 National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report for its Snow Lake operations in Manitoba, a filing that supersedes all prior technical reports for the asset. The updated report formalizes a 37% increase in five-year average gold production for the period 2026–2030, raising the figure to 185,000 ounces per year. Total life-of-mine gold production is now projected at 2.8 million ounces, representing a 60% increase, while the mine life has been extended to 2043.
Mineral reserves have grown by 38% in tonnage to 27 million tonnes, containing 2.0 million ounces of gold. This reserve growth is attributed to conversions at Lalor and 1901, higher reserves at WIM and 3 Zone, and the inclusion of first reserve estimates for the Talbot and Rail satellite deposits. Operational optimizations detailed in the report include higher mill throughput at New Britannia, improved gold recoveries at the Stall mill, and the utilization of a combined 6,300 tonnes per day of processing capacity. The report employs a conservative historical high resource-to-reserve conversion rate of 90%.
HudBay Minerals Inc. (HBM) filed a formal National Instrument 43-101 report on November 6, updating the reserve and mine life estimates for its Snow Lake operations. The filing reiterates data previously disclosed in a news release on September 28, 2026, and introduces no new financial guidance, production volumes, cost metrics, or strategic shifts.
The market has already priced in the Snow Lake reserve expansion and the Copper World final investment decision milestone. This regulatory filing serves as a technical validation of management's execution, confirming the September announcement and removing technical ambiguity without altering the investment thesis or valuation model.
