Bayhorse Silver Underground Drilling Operations Suspended Due to Wildfires

Bayhorse Silver Inc. (BHS) suspended drilling operations at its Bayhorse Mine on July 24, 2026, following the outbreak of a wildfire at Fox Creek, located seven miles north of the site. The fire has expanded to over 45,000 acres, reaching Huntington and forcing the closure of Interstate I-84, which has resulted in evacuation orders and restricted access to the mine area.

Prior to the suspension, underground drilling operations were active, with a new easterly drill hole collared and a series of four 300-350ft drill holes initiated to the east of the current known inferred resource area. The crushing circuit was fully operational, and the first phase of bulk sampling crushing had begun before operations were halted.

The wildfire situation has intensified rapidly, with the blaze reaching over 45,000 acres by Sunday, July 25th. The fire extended to Huntington, situated beside an 80-mile stretch of closed Interstate I-84. The Bayhorse Mine is positioned between Fox Creek and Huntington, adjacent to the Snake River's Brownlee Reservoir.

Due to the access restrictions placed on Huntington and the Mine Site, the Company is unable to determine the impact of the wildfire on its facilities at this time. CEO Graeme O'Neill noted that while there is little fuel for a wildfire at the Mine Site, and it is within 300 feet from the Brownlee Reservoir, wildfire behavior is difficult to predict close to large bodies of water. The company anticipates the mine site may become accessible in the next few days for inspection.

In recent operational developments, the company took delivery of a John Deere 325 G skidsteer for service support and a 45ft x 25ft metal building to be used as a core shack at the mine site. Bayhorse Silver Inc. will issue an update on operations and the specific impact of the wildfire once the evacuation order is lifted.
