Astra drills 0.5 m of 2,371 g/t Ag at La Manchuria

ASTR · Price

Executive Summary

  • Astra Exploration Inc. released assay results from seven diamond drill holes from Phase II drilling at its La Manchuria gold-silver project in Santa Cruz, Argentina.
  • High-grade silver and gold intercepts were reported, most notably LMD-130 returning 0.5m at 2,371 g/t Ag and 11.09 g/t Au, confirming and extending the East and West feeders of the Main zone.
  • The company is fully financed for a minimum 5,000-metre drill program expected to commence in April, following geophysical surveys to identify new targets beneath postmineral cover.

Key Details

  • LMD-130 (East Feeder, Main Zone): 0.5m @ 2,371 g/t Ag, 11.09 g/t Au; and 0.5m @ 521.7 g/t Ag, 2.94 g/t Au. Intercept interpreted as a possible ~220m SE extension of the Argentum vein (previously returned 1.4m @ 35 g/t Au, 8,356 g/t Ag).
  • LMD-131 (West Feeder, Main Zone): 0.5m @ 469.4 g/t Ag, 6.61 g/t Au.
  • LMD-132 (West Feeder, Main Zone): 0.6m @ 255.3 g/t Ag, 5.96 g/t Au; and 0.5m @ 612 g/t Ag, 1.48 g/t Au.
  • LMD-129 (West Feeder, Main Zone): 1.5m @ 16.4 g/t Ag, 9.17 g/t Au; including 0.5m @ 28.6 g/t Ag, 18.32 g/t Au.
  • Structural & Geological Findings: East and West feeders extended along strike in multiple directions and remain open in all directions. Veins appear to converge at depth, forming compelling feeder zone targets. Continuous shallow mineralization confirmed in the Eastern zone. Andesitic sills previously considered barren now confirmed to host high-grade Au/Ag.
  • Program Status: Phase II completed 25 holes totaling 5,119m in late 2025, focusing on expanding the near-surface footprint with shallow holes (<200m vertical depth).
  • Future Drilling: Fully financed for a minimum 5,000m program expected to commence in April. Geophysical surveys are underway to extend the 3-D resistivity model south and west beneath postmineral cover to generate new drill targets.
  • Sampling & QA/QC: HQ core split and sampled by Astra geologists, analyzed at Alex Stewart International lab in Mendoza. Fire assay for Au (Au4-50), ICP for multielements (ICP-AR 39), and gravity method for Ag overlimits (<200 g/t). QA/QC included 131 blanks and 154 standards across 2,831 samples.

Notable Quotes

  • Brian Miller, CEO: "The mineralized vein system at La Manchuria continues to rapidly expand in all directions with several new intercepts of high-grade silver and gold. And, because drilling has repeatedly shown that narrow veinlets near surface converge into thicker veins with depth, often with higher grades, the elevated grades encountered at these shallow depths below surface are very encouraging."
  • Brian Miller, CEO: "With this set of holes, the West feeder of the Main zone has been extended along strike in both directions, and the East feeder has been extended along strike to the southeast. These veins are key high-grade structures of the Main zone, which appear to be converging with depth, forming compelling feeder zone targets. Importantly, the highest-grade intercept in LMD-130 is interpreted to be a possible extension of the Argentum vein, 220 metres along strike to the southeast of hole LMD-108A, which returned 1.4 metres grading 35 g/t gold and 8,356 g/t silver in Astra's phase I drill program."
