Centenario Extends Exposed Cabot Trend Beyond 850 Metres And Provides Exploration Update On Its Cabot Copper-Gold-Cobalt Project, Newfoundland
Centenario extends the Cabot trend past 850m and plans a 1,500m drill program for late November 2026.

Centenario Gold Corp. (CTG) has released an exploration update regarding its Cabot Copper-Gold-Cobalt Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. Recent trenching and channel sampling efforts have extended the exposed mineralized trend at Cabot to more than 850 meters along strike. To support this expansion, the company has collected approximately 350 channel samples and 580 infill soil samples, with assay results currently pending.
Looking ahead, Centenario Gold plans to begin a first-phase 1,500-meter drill program at Cabot before the end of November 2026. A subsequent 3,500-meter drill program is proposed for early 2027, subject to initial results and financing availability.
In addition to Cabot, progress is being reported on the Magellan target, identified as the highest-priority drill target outside of Cabot, where road access is currently under construction. Five additional priority exploration targets have been identified, supported by VTEM modelling and historical base-metal soil anomalies. Separately, historical grab samples from the Marble Cove prospect returned copper grades of up to approximately 7% Cu and gold grades of up to 70.38 g/t Au.
Centenario Gold Corp. (CTG) released an expected operational update following its May 2026 work program announcements and management appointments. The company reported that the exposed trend has been extended to 850 meters, a development that validates the geological model and supports the planned 1,500-meter drill program.
The announcement outlines planned activities and pending assays rather than delivering immediate, market-moving assay results or resource estimates. This reliance on future financing for the Phase 2 program reinforces the company's ongoing capital needs, which aligns with the going concern status noted in the Q1 2026 MD&A. The lack of immediate assay data limits the near-term price catalyst potential.
Centenario Gold Corp. (CTG) is an exploration-stage mineral resource company focused on developing high-grade copper, gold, and cobalt projects in Canada and Mexico. The company transitioned from a dormant entity to an active explorer in early 2026, securing options for both projects and initiating exploration programs. Management has appointed experienced geologists and project managers to oversee the Cabot and Los Reyes programs.
The company’s flagship asset is the Cabot Copper-Gold-Cobalt Project, located on the Baie Verte Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador. The property covers over 20.75 square kilometers and hosts a bimodal mafic-felsic VMS and stringer system. Its secondary project is the Los Reyes Copper-Gold Project in Chihuahua, Mexico, which features a Cu-Zn-Au skarn system with historical mining by ASARCO and IMMSA.
