Orosur Mining Announces Anza Operational Update Accelerating on Multiple Fronts
Orosur reports moderate APTA and low-grade Pepas results, with project value contingent on upcoming El Cedro assay data.

Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) released an operational and exploration update detailing recent drilling results, ongoing projects, and preliminary planning activities. The company reported assay results from two holes at its APTA project, while seven holes at the Pepas project returned mostly low-grade or insignificant results. Additionally, the update covers progress on the El Cedro redrill, a new surface target at El Yarumo, and permitting and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) planning at Pepas.
At the APTA project, hole MAP109 intersected 15.35 m @ 0.97 g/t Au from 60.65 m, including 6.8 m @ 1.8 g/t Au from 69.2 m, plus 5.3 m @ 0.54 g/t Au from 82.2 m. Hole MAP110 returned 105.55 m @ 0.54 g/t Au from 116.8 m, including 5.35 m @ 2.0 g/t Au from 150.2 m and 9.15 m @ 1.02 g/t Au from 204.35 m. A separate lower interval in MAP110 yielded 43.55 m @ 1.53 g/t Au from 235.55 m, including 14.2 m @ 3.1 g/t Au from 236.6 m and 7.35 m @ 2.0 g/t Au from 270.55 m.
Drilling at the Pepas project included holes PEP108, PEP109, PEP110, and PEP113, which reported no significant results. Hole PEP111 intersected 19.8 m @ 0.31 g/t Au from 58 m. Hole PEP112 returned 4.45 m @ 0.3 g/t Au from surface. Hole PEP114 intersected 14.95 m @ 0.37 g/t Au from surface, including 4.05 m @ 0.81 g/t Au from surface.
At the El Cedro project, redrill hole CED001A extended beyond the previous 267 m failure depth, with core recovery resuming at 200 m. No new assays were reported for this hole in the current release.
Surface mapping and sampling at the El Yarumo target identified more than 64 samples above 0.1 g/t Au and 20 samples above 1 g/t Au, with a maximum grade of 10.67 g/t Au. No drill assays were reported for this location.
Regarding the Pepas project, the company completed the final draft of the Pre-Feasibility Study (PTO). The conceptual case outlines a 500 t/day operation, producing approximately 175,000 t/year or 25,000 oz/year for 10 years, incorporating surrounding lower-grade material outside the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). A PEA is to be commissioned. The PTO details are not NI 43-101 compliant and are not publicly disclosed.
Orosur Mining Inc. (TSX-V/AIM: OMI) is a pre-revenue explorer and developer with a market capitalization of roughly C$95 million at its recent C$0.21 close. The company holds a 219,000 oz maiden gold resource at Pepas and maintains a dual listing on the TSX-V and AIM exchanges. This release does not alter the existing resource, add a new resource-grade discovery, or provide the pending El Cedro assays. The primary strategic development is the decision to move APTA toward a formal resource drill-out early next year, alongside continuing Pepas permitting and preliminary economic assessment (PEA) work.
The APTA anchor is defined by MAP107, which returned 135.5 m @ 1.91 g/t Au. The stock traded at approximately C$0.30 on 14 July 2026 and is currently at C$0.21, indicating the market has not re-rated and held on the MAP107 result; the anchor is not embedded at the current price. Consequently, the weaker new APTA holes represent a disappointment against the best prior hole but do not meet the threshold for a material negative shift against an embedded expectation. The El Cedro anchor previously produced a September spike to C$0.42, but the stock round-tripped to C$0.21. With no new El Cedro assays, there is no new delta to score.
Pepas serves as the nearer-term value anchor, featuring a 219,000 oz indicated resource at 5.46 g/t Au, moving toward PEA and permitting. The new Pepas holes, which returned grades between 0.3-0.7 g/t Au, do not affect that resource. A conceptual case for 25,000 oz/year implies roughly 4.4 g/t Au at 100% recovery over 175,000 t/year, or about 5 g/t at the prior 88.75% recovery assumption. This is broadly consistent with the MRE grade but does not constitute a new NI 43-101 economic result.
The release is operationally busy but assay-light where it matters. It supports the narrative that Anza is a multi-target system but does not materially increase the perceived scale, grade, or confidence of the resource today. The stock is near its 52-week low, meaning the bar for a positive surprise is low, but this release does not clear it with new hard numbers.
Orosur Mining Inc. is a pre-revenue, TSX-V/AIM-listed minerals explorer and developer focused on operations in Colombia and Argentina.
The company’s primary asset is the Anza project in Colombia, comprising approximately 530 km² in the Mid-Cauca copper/gold belt. The property is 100% owned through Minera Anza and Minera Monte Aguila, with main prospects including Pepas, APTA, and El Cedro/El Yarumo. At Pepas, a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate identified 1.14 million tonnes at 5.46 g/t Au for approximately 201,000 ounces indicated, plus 0.19 million tonnes at 2.99 g/t Au for approximately 18,000 ounces inferred. The estimate utilized a US$3,000/oz gold price, a 0.92 g/t cutoff, 88.75% recovery, and 250 ktpa throughput. Pepas is currently advancing toward a preliminary economic assessment and permitting.
APTA is a high-grade, structurally controlled gold system with more than 40,000 m of historical drilling since 2012. Orosur plans a formal resource drill-out for the property early in 2027. The El Cedro/El Yarumo cluster features gold/copper porphyry and epithermal vein targets. Drilling at El Cedro began in August 2026, while El Yarumo remains a surface-defined target with drilling planned for Q1 2027, subject to permitting and rig availability.
In Argentina, Orosur owns the El Pantano project, covering approximately 550-560 km² in the Deseado Massif. The company earned in the asset, which hosts a low-sulphidation epithermal system identified during a 24-hole, approximately 5,500 m first program. A 2% net smelter return remains on the property, with 1% buyable for US$1 million.
Financially, Orosur reported a Q1 FY2026 net loss of US$548,000. Cash holdings stood at US$7.841 million prior to a C$16 million placement, rising to US$16.84 million post-placement. The company recorded a FY2026 net loss of US$5.95 million. The management discussion and analysis carried a going-concern flag, with the placement intended to fund operations into late 2027. Following the October 2026 placement, the share count stands at 452,196,324 common shares. The company lists 23.6 million options, RSUs, and DSUs, and the placement included 25 million warrants at US$0.32.
