Greenland Resources Provides Update on EUR 50 Million Equity Investment
Greenland advances due diligence for a €50 million equity round for its Malmbjerg project.

Greenland Resources Inc. (MOLY) provided a progress update on its potential €50 million equity financing round, which involves the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) STEP program and an industry co-investor. The EIC Fund’s due diligence process is actively progressing, and negotiations with all parties are ongoing. The transaction remains subject to the EIC Fund’s final investment decision and the settlement of definitive documentation. This update follows the company's initial announcement in April 2026 regarding the application and subsequent receipt of the Sovereign STEP Seal for project excellence.
Greenland Resources Inc. (MOLY) confirmed that its €50 million financing round is advancing through standard due diligence and negotiation phases without material delays or setbacks. The market was already aware of the financing target and the European Investment Club’s (EIC) involvement from previous releases in April and June 2026. Consequently, this progress report does not introduce genuinely new, unexpected information that would immediately reprice the stock.
The update validates the project's strategic alignment with EU critical mineral initiatives, specifically RESourcEU, and maintains the pipeline for a major capital injection that would de-risk the Malmbjerg project's construction phase. No changes to project economics, reserves, or offtake agreements are disclosed in this release.
Greenland Resources Inc. (MOLY) is developing the Malmbjerg project, a world-class Climax-type primary molybdenum deposit located in east-central Greenland. The company holds a 30-year exploitation license for molybdenum and magnesium, which was granted in June 2025.
According to a 2022 NI 43-101 Definitive Feasibility Study by Tetra Tech, the project contains 245 million tonnes of proven and probable reserves grading 0.176% MoS2, representing 571 million pounds of contained molybdenum. Projected production is set at 32.8 million pounds of contained molybdenum per year for the first 10 years. This output would account for approximately 25% of total yearly consumption in the European Union and 100% of the EU's defense needs.
The base case economics outline a US$820 million capital expenditure, a 33.8% levered after-tax internal rate of return, and a 2.4-year payback period, based on an assumption of $18 per pound for molybdenum. The project is designated as a priority initiative under the European Commission’s RESourcEU program and is supported by the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA).
